Notifications Problem

Most of the time I am able to visit this site at least once a day. However, due to circumstances beyond my control I have been off the internet entirely for almost two weeks. I finally got back on yesterday and saw that my notifications were up to 49. When I click on the world icon to get the list I get the animated waiting icon that just keeps on and on and on... Not only that but viewing the threads manually does not reduce the number of notifications. On the contrary, new posts increase the number of notifications. Please is there some way to just reset it to zero so I can at least use it to view new posts?

Thanks in advance.

There was a site change a couple of days ago, and since then my notifications won't load.  However if I click on my avatar and go to my profile page, they load fine.  Try that. :)

Yay! Thanks, that worked. Now let's hope (but don't hold yer breath...) they actually fix this.

They switched over to HTTPS for the site so you need to make sure the url starts with "https://" when trying to load your notifications. I myself was having an issue with notifications because I was trying to load them from a bookmarked url that didn't have HTTPS after the switch. I updated the url for that bookmark to include the HTTPS and my issue was solved--no need to go to another page on the site to load them.

Just tried it and can confirm that this resolves the issue.

Definitely works. The annoying thing is I have an add-on that is supposed to always try for https - it clearly doesn't work with bookmarks.

My notifications are currently 229. I never check that ****. I figure if bioware can't bother to be notified about anything, neither can I.

If you can't be bothered to see who has replied to your posts why should we be bothered with you or your opinions?
