Hi, I'm appearently unable to save games. ME2 will not give me the option to save my progress. I was not able to save a game file during the introduction sequence on the station, and now that I'm into the first mission proper I cannot save my game either. When I click on the save button this file comes up with something like "Saveusername-txt" along with some other gobblygook and there is no option to let me pick a save game file and save my game. Do you have to get further into the game before you are allowed to save or is there some kind of glitch going on?
Any info would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, you'll have to restart a new game. As soon as you get the pistol, check if the Save option is available.
