I mean I have always wondered why they weren't added to the multiplayer even if they were just for a training mode, they would certainly add a bit more variety to the game, but I guess they would have to re-balanced everything which would take a lot of time to do.

The LOKI, FENRIS and YMIR mechs existed during a strange time in the ME universe where people were really concerned about personal security for, like, a few months. Then they fell out of use because I guess everyone stopped caring (just in time to have no protection during the galaxy-wide genocide!). Somewhere out there is probably a massive facility out in Terminus space filled with a bunch of discontinued mechs.
Maybe the awakened geth found them and took them on as pets. Who knows.

Yeah, should've been a mercenary faction, along the lines of the ME2 mercenaries and/or CAT-6. You can handwave it by saying they're indoctrinated or something, doesn't really matter. That would also allow for mechs, since Eclipse use them quite a bit.
A YMIR mech alongside those CAT-6 cluster grenade throwers and drones would be fun. And by fun I mean" cause so much screenshake and stunlock that I rage quit in disgust"

i often wondered why there have been no side missions in SP or factions in MP made of indoctrinated military of various races.
After all governments have passed laws prohibiting attacks on Reapers and as such there should have been fighting between them and the Resistance movements everywhere.

I'd freaking love that. The other night I go into the AHF chat and someone says "Hi OWA, W6, almost done, will make a lobby right after" but I couldn't recognize the name and I didn't wanna be rude so I just played along and said sounds good I'll wait. We then played a few rounds until he said he would reboot and come back. In enters another name, a sweet guy I met a few days ago and I quickly say hi with a smiley but then the other guy from my party says "you're using your main account now?" to him, appereantly it was his alt account all along and we had been playing together for several rounds LOL. EVERYONE has alt accounts, what's the freaking deal???

I have had that bug happen a few times to me as well in ME2....hilarious.. I remember the 1st time was during the mission to go get grunt.....everyone was dead and you would hear that horrendous moaning / screaming of death ... I couldn't stop laughing.
