I'll just note that I really hope we are.

Because no matter how cool the new galaxy and its locals are, if there's no dogs my Ryder could eventually possess, I'll be sad. And on a more practical note, if we're dealing with realistic terraforming and habitation of a non-Earth planet, we're going to want pollinizers. We're going to want worms. We're going to want goats. We're going to want dogs because people and dogs go together well. We'll probably want cats, because we'll probably have rodents. We'll probably want chickens for nutritional value. And yes, a genebank next to the seed bank is probably the best way to do it. But I wouldn't mind seeing a few pets for morale.

Plants are living things my friend.

Do you think a tomato was made for you?  It's an egg... for another tomato plant.

If you have to take chemical supplements for your diet... it is not, at the very least, "more natural" than keeping a balanced omnivorous diet.

I already thought about that and my counter argument is that you can eat anything that can't feel physical stimuli. In short, if it has a brain, then its a no go but everything else is fair game.

My Ryder has a dog until such a time as BioWare confirms there will be no dog.
