So there I was, in Haven, selling some unwanted loot to Seggrit the greedy merchant. I completed the sale and started to walk away, and all of a sudden, I heard that familiar chime and swish noise, and I started getting messages just like I had done a sync with the Golden Nug.

WTF??

As luck would have it, I made a save right before doing the sale. So I reloaded, tried it again, no Golden Nug sync. Everything worked as expected.

Is that a bizarre bug or what? Happen to anyone else?

This is really off topic but just gonna state my levels of pure unadulterated annoyance that the Inquisitor's stuff (bow, sword, other sword, etc.) dosen't synch up with the rest of your schematics when you use the nug.  Kinda defeated the purpose for poor Kara T.

If you're referring to the Deluxe Edition dragon stuff, that is because those are designed to be gotten through the Haven or Skyhold chests at certain milestones. All of the DLC bonus items/schematics work that way. Also, think of it this way: it's a way to prevent unauthorized use by doing something like using a downloaded save that has DLC content you don't have access to.

Seggrit was so greedy that he tried to steal your golden nug.
