I'm unable to create new thread on Campain forum, so I had to come here.

I just finished playing Witch Hunt campain for the first time. I romanced Morrigan on Origins, so of course I was hunting her to stay with her again. IDK how she could have betrayed me or I wanna kill her, so I just ignored those options.

But hey, WTF is that ending? She says she's going to an unknown world, seemingly to raise our child. I persuade her into going with her. There's no option to ask about the book, and then we just enter the portal. The 2 companions and my dog stay behind in a very dumb way, and then the game ends! WTF?!!

Have some reasoning been talked during all these years to explain what happened there?

If you don't go with her, the book will be left behind in Morrigan's camp, so your companions who remain behind can pick it up. Besides, it never really was about the book for you. Arianne wanted the book, you wanted to find Morrigan.

The mirror actually leads to another place in the real world (through a place called crossroads, but that's no place for living). Leaving with Morrigan might explain why the Warden was nowhere to be found in the following years. Eventually, the Warden leaves for his own mission about the calling, and Morrigan joins the imperial court as arcane advisor.

Play Inquisition. Everything is explained through dialogue, cutscenes, notes and war table missions.

Wh ending is lame It seem to me that it was written only for those who romanced Morrigan.

Well that's not the case. There are options where we want the child back, or wanna kill her. I had romanced her in Origins, so IDK if there are lines where we hate each other.

It seems to me that they didn't know how to end it, or couldn't get to an agreement on how to do it. It's not a proper open end aiming to follow in future plots.

There are other DLÇ that diverge from Origins. When we get to Lothering, we have options to wanna go back to Ostagar, even to look for our brother, but that's vetoed out. We're persuaded into believing that the place is devastated and any survivor would have been killed or was able to flee, so no use getting back there. Then comes the DLÇ where we learn of a survivor, who tells us of a treasure, then we just change our minds and decide to get back there anyway.

I agree with you  they did not developed in a good way the ending of WH it was very rushed.
Why the warden was not allowed to enter the mirror unless they romanced her?
They can attack Morrigan and get rid of her and remain alone with the mirror but then they can't cross the mirror for some reason they just go away while the eluvian is still glowing and then end of the Dlc and credits rolls ....facepalm Gaider....what a lame ending...

In the WH  Dlc you are not permitted to do anything  unless you romanced Morrigan.

1)You can't kill Morrigan because she has a plot armor that is there for future games.
2)You can't cross the mirror on your own when she is no more there to defend it after the attack.

3)You can't see the child even if you are the father  unless you are nice to her  and this is incredibly  humiliating for those who had the human child in the Dlc basically the scenario in which she abandoned the warden and yet in the Dlc the warden has to beg her to see his son.

Either you kiss her ass and do as she command or either you lose that child forever.

It boils down to this with the npc Morrigan in both DAO,WH and DAI either you give to Morrigan what she want which is often a magical power boost  or either you will pay an incredible price for have refused.
In DAO you  pay with your life or one of your companions  if you dare to refuse her,in WH if you refuse to stay with her you lose your son and in DAI
(i don't want to make spoiler) you pay the worst punishment of all if you refuse her...
Frankly i do not understand why Gaider created plot holes in his own story to force this blackmails in order to favor Morrigan i'm actually glad that he is gone because unlike Weekes he tend to be biased a lot.

Indeed, Dragon Age's choice lines structure was very original, but devs themselves struggled to keep up with the lines they provided. Of course we wanna follow the lore on the lines we chose, and play it fully, not see these lines turned into small side quests.

As I've read, Tevinter Imperium's blood mages had 7 gods, and 4 of them already became archdemons up till DAO. And the same mages are the ones that tainted Golden City into Black City and were turned darkspawn. I don't believe they created lore this way as coincidence. Now, one of these gods was encarnated into Morrigan's son.

I have seen no explanation on how those gods became archdemons and encarnated into dragons to lead the darkspawn, and IDK what Morrigan's son would become. But for sure I don't want a side quest out of it.

I'm playing Awakening and gonna take a while till I play DA2, I don't think I'll have the time to pay DAI this year. Let's see what I'll face.

But, BTW, I'm really liking how some of the past history is told with incredibility. Does the Maker exists or is just a fairy tale, did Andraste really talked to him or was she crazy? The are lines where we RP ridicularizing the Chantry, and there are other religions. Curiously, the Gray Wardens, who fight the tainted Tevinter's blood mages, isn't directly against blood magic.

Some of these tales proved true, as Andraste's Ashes really existing and having powerful healing powers. So, if her ashes have power, could she really had found the Maker? And could have the Maker tainted the blood mages? So where is the Maker after all?

What does any of this have to do with the thread?

Not to ruin your hopes but there is nothing not even a sidequest the devs nullified this path in DAI not a problem for the majority of players of DAI.
