It's going to depend on your definition of what "open world" is.
If that means multiple large zones full of exploration than yeah, confirmed to be open world.

What do I think? That people suddenly seem to have forgotten playing the first Mass Effect.
So you believe it will be that planet based structure? Or a complete ala Fallout esque open world?

More ME1 with its planet design. It's rather obvious they're drawing heavy inspiration from it, perhaps in hopes that Andromeda will become that game's real successor.

and I´m really ok with that. I remember how much I found ME2 strange in the first time I played. I was expecting a bigger and better ME1.
A back2basics is what this franchise needs now.
My fear is the plot :X
