I never really cared much for their skills (the little there was). I see soldiers being more for shooter fans. Except they gave everyone any weapon in ME3.

But anyways... Engineer should be a neat change of pace.

Exactly this. With freedom ME3 gave with guns, imo they should give Soldier something better, so it doesn't pale in comparison to other classes.

Engineer indeed sounds like nice change of pace (I hope drones will stay)... and I should stop derailing the thread :P

I am going to start with the new 'Medic' class.  For once a true support class.

My favorite class in ME3 was engineer, because of the great crowd control and debuff ability.  I really enjoyed the gameplay and would lean towards that style of play once again.

Maybe...............okay, no probably not but the fact that you responded so quickly shows clearly there should be one.

Do we even have confirmation that any of the original classes will be present in ME:A? I'm actually hoping we could build our own class there.

Engineer.

And I hope Ryder won't be all 'what's that?' And 'how does that work?' When it comes to, you know, human engineering and stuff. Gah, I wish classes would affect more than just battle.

Well, if you remember, in the Omega DLC in ME3, they did exactly this.  An engineer was able to bypass an event via an interrupt because of their understanding of tech.  At the time, some on the forums argued against class specific interrupts, but I feel like it was a very nice addition to the game. My hope is that this is expanded upon in Andromeda.

Haha well, it was more so like "Why didn't anyone else on BSN report this yet?!? I expect fourty two threads on each shred of news we get because we're starved!"
That being said, I'd totally be down for that .

I think it was a nice treat for Engineers... since they were apparently the least played class. They deserve a class interrupt :P

Agree completely. Not only for Engineers but for all classes. Biotics should be able to lift stuff , maybe infiltrators have a secret I can get past these guards scene, soldiers weapon expertise, etc.

Either Adept or soldier as they are my faves most likely Adept assuming it's the same 6 classes we have in the trilogy.

That is a common problem with any game for they are stuck trying to inform players, so they make the protagonist or allies seem dense so they can explain it to us.

Some games have a good premise for it. Like the fallout series... you're always some noob or some colonist with those vault-tec vids to hold your hand...and it blends well.

Either that or you write a more focused character. Like Snake or Lara Croft comes off like the expert she is.

When I first played the trilogy I was an infiltrator because I was scared of combat and new to shooters. I thought if I hang back and and snipe everything I'll be OK. Biotics seemed way too complicated at the time but on my second playthrough I tried an adept and never looked back which is strange because I don't particularly like playing mages in other games.

So I'll definitely be playing an adept first, then a vanguard and we'll see if I get to the other classes or not. if there's no story content attached to classes, I'll probably just stick to what I like and what I'm good at. I never played a sentinel before, not once.

Ar, I know. It would be great if they could be more creative in that regard, and at least not make our protag come across as a right silly dunce.
