"This game will suck, you know why? Because EA exists"

EA this, EA that... EA isn't the devil that a lot of people like to say it is anymore. We aren't in 2010, They do stupid things but at the same time they are doing good things with EA Access, launching solid games, free DLC's and giving Bioware the time and money they need to make Andromeda.

In the end of the day every publisher does it for the money and not because they like you.

They don't need to love your dog to be a good publisher.

EA has won the worst company in America award at least twice. Perhaps three. I can't remember. They don't launch solid games, their free dlc sucks and is often stolen from modders, and really? Giving bioware time and money to make a game so they can make money isn't some goddamn act of goodwill. It is just them doing their jobs. It is like patting dads on the back for changing a diaper. Jesus. That's what we have stooped too? Sometimes I think consumers deserve the lackluster **** they get. No one is asking them to love our dog. We are asking them to stop feeding us ****, actually treat their employees like people, and give developers time to you know make a product WORTH the money. If you think the games they have put out are worth the money, well you sir should look at this lovely time share I have. *head shaking*

I don't think consumers in general do this. Bioware doesn't get as much slack elsewhere... they're treated like anyone else.. but this is BSN. You can't expect much different. :)

edit: That said, I do think gamers are wasteful and throw their cash around. Just not all at one company. Definitely not EA.

Not that I'm defending EA, but they "won" an internet poll that was heavily vote-bombed by 4chan's /v/.

It's a little laughable when you look at some of the other companies on the lists the two years they won, more than a few of which have actually ruined peoples' lives for profit.

It's pretty funny f you think about it...,The priorities of people who took the poll. If I'm looking at the right link, they won in 2014. 2nd place went to Time Warner Cable. Followed by similar companies. You have to go deeper to even get a Citibank.

Love? With those endings? - I seriously doubt that (maybe I am just a dick who feels like he's been screwed over one time too often, but I wouldn't call George Lucas ending Star Wars: Return of the Jedi with pink Jawas killing the Emperor (that's how bad those endings are for me! (I am using Star Wars as an example because I am into that, too - more the EU than the movies, that's why I'd love to blow Disney up sometimes...destroying the EU, which IMHO is what was worth the most about the Star Trek brand...it's what kept it alive despite there not having been movies for a long long time after the first three had been finished! Damned Disney, you guys really need a shrink as this is not a great business decision, snubbing the long time fans...some goes for Star Trek - then again: That's also J. J. Abrams (who I call JJ-Crap-Rams!) who has no respect for source material what so ever! No, he has to do his own thing every god damned time...if I didn't know better: I'd think HE wrote the Endings for Mass Effect!!!)), even if that's what he thought makes a great ending!)

I think Abrams must have done the ME trilogy, considering there are so many lens flares everywhere.

I came to terms with the ending. It's been 4 years. Plenty of time to do so.

Now....EA..... I'm glad they're giving Andromeda more time and space to do what they need to do. Mirror's Edge Catalyst was a joke. Battlefield 1 looks amazing. Star Wars Battlefront was a beautiful joke. It's just hit and miss with EA....gotta know what to miss. And sadly, I keep buying all their games because every other one is a hit, I just don't know which ones are until I play. :D

I keep hoping EA will learn from their mistakes with consumers...... Love you Bioware, Love/Hate EA....

I guess the only thing I'm excited about is Visceral/Amy Hennig. I used to like Battlefield (especially early BF), but not much in the mood for MP these days. I get the feeling it'll be good though... for what it is.

They got a lot of time for DAI too.. and I didn't like it. I bought into the hype though... I got the CE edition.. and was a fan of DA2 as well. Time wasn't their problem. They just made the game for other people.

As for this, I think they're making Andromeda for people who hated ME3. They're the ones who needed this game. Hudson himself never wanted to make it. He intended ME3 to be the end. This alone tells me that this game lacks any inspiration. They're just churning out product...with an asspull for a story premise. So some people can experience "Mass Effect but not Mass Effect". That seems to be good enough for some players to get their fix. But what if I never really needed a fix?

So excuse me if I hold off a bit :P

I rarely see hate for EA anymore outside of here. I see a hell of a lot more wrath directed at Sega and Ubisoft of late.  I have a little faith in ME:A. I haven't really hated a BioWare game. I mean really hated one. DA 2 is probably my least favorite I've played but I wouldn't call it utter garbage. There were parts of other games I didn't like, like the tedious collection missions in DAI, but I can't think of any of those parts that added up enough for me to develop a hate-on for the game.

Sega? For what?

Ubisoft is just embarrasing at shows..and don't make anything that grabs my attention. But apparently Beyond Good and Evil 2 is being made.

They could've made it a lot more great if they had left out the previous gen.

I loved DAI....so......

I wouldn't say I hate DAI. It's just boring. I'm not sure it really deserves hate, per se.

But people keep telling me Trespasser is great. Too bad (and too late) I had to wait for the last DLC.

With Sega I was probably thinking of the **** storms that greeted some of the recent Total Wars and the DLC policy of those which people blamed Sega for. I think the gripes are legit especially when you buy DLC and it doesn't download but instead is there automatically cause that just suggests to me that I paid to unlock code that was already there i.e. cut content from the main game. BioWare haven't pulled that bullshit yet and they better not with Andromeda.

The DLC for DAI was uniformly good I thought and especially Trespasser which added a more fitting ending to the game. Trespasser changes it though so that I got the feeling that in defeating Corypheus I had not really faced the real threat and that I'd been playing the mere beginnings of a saga. You could feel cheated by that or you could feel, as I did, that something heftier was being developed. The only thing that bothered me about DAI was the secondary missions were too much filler but there were good things about that game like the interactions and the whole story especially once Trespasser was factored in. My hope for Andromeda is that they will have learned from what worked in all their games and let go of what did not.

I really love ME3, not the last 5ish minutes, but I knew the end would be silly with the sheer number of reapers they had, why not just make the first cycle only 5 million years ago or something and let you win conventionally, without a magic space ******, if you get everyone on the same page? Well, nope, they had to have thousands of Reapers, when the first game had one, the second game had half of a one and the collectors, awesome games with more than enough danger around every corner. Why they had to step that up to a thousand times as much...

Will I pre order this? Likely, unless Mike Laidlaw takes over as project director, did he?

Mass Effect 2 should have been about preparing for the reapers, instead they compressed two games' story into one.

ME1 the reapers are coming and they are very advanced, Sovereign was only a vanguard, and it (/almost) wiped out the council's fleet. So boys and girls we should upgrade in the next episode.

ME2 nah, they are not coming, so we are not preparing for them.

ME3 ehh, they are here by the hundreds if not thousands. We are doomed. No wait, we found a superweapon, we don't know if it is working or not, but never mind.

No wonder it was a mess, and they want to leave the Milky Way behind.

What in the world are you talking about. The point of ME2 was a suicide mission to take our the collectors....who....guess what....were working with the reapers.

Nobody would listen about prepping for the reapers because Shepard died, and everyone decided it was a farce. Then Shepard was working for Cerberus, who lots of people didn't trust. So of course they didn't prepare.

And lately Bioware likes to lie a lot, like ME3 multiple endings and how great DAI controlls will be on PC, or how the Keeps have different functions: Military, Espionage, Trade.

They hype (/lie), hype (/lie) and hype (/lie), and no wonder people are hugely dissapointed by them.

Nice editing there. In the beginning of ME2 they were out searching for Geth activity, who in ME1 were confirmed working with the Reapers.

Shepard dies.....it's easier to tell people that there's no Reapers and that Shepard was delusional.

Politicians do it to us all the time. Tell us what's nicer on the ears, not the actual threat.

What is wrong with that video? It's an excelent indicator of what ME2 should have been about.

Maybe not, but better than do nothing. Mass fleet building, experimenting on reaper tech, or on geths, or gather top scientists all over the galaxy.

I don't have a lack of faith, simply have a lack of information about the game to get interested/excited. I'm on board for buying the game in any case, I have space in my life for a space opera type game and there are very few of these games around.
