So, for NYCC 2016 I'm thinking of doing a casual Inquisitor cosplay. What I have figured out so far is to use my Inquisitor hoodie, an orange sash that roughly matches the orange bits on the hoodie, and that's about it. Maybe wear my Cullen tee under the hoodie. 

 

Since I'm sorta aiming for the battlemage armor (I think it was called? The combat outfit shown in the trailers), so I'm wondering what kind/color pants I should wear, if I should rock boots or sneakers, what kind of hat (if any), and what to use to act as the Anchor. Any any all suggestions are appreciated, and if any of y'all have done one yourself, please do share.

Boots. I'd suggest leather pants. If you want to go with jeans, then do something other than blue; khaki would be good. For the Anchor I'd recommend some sort of paint; if you try to go for anything glowing it mostly likely won't be discernible in the brightly lit convention halls.

Don't think paint would work, as I'd either sweat it off or pick it off in a short amount of time.

Eh, if you were to use body paint it should hold up pretty well to sweat... you would have to control the picking temptation though

You could also rig together some sort of glove or hand wrap and sew bright-green stuff on it. Or even just use a green bandana and tie it on.
