Has EA or BioWare said anything about that Fan project to Remake KotoR 2?

EA or Bioware don't hold the rights as they didn't make KotOR II. Obisidian did. As it is though it would have been LucasArts, or now possibly Disney and if they knew I doubt they would let it slide.

KOTOR 2 was Obsidian, but it was still LucasArts. Disney certainly owns it now as part of the big purchase in 2012.
But didn't the big Steam revamp of KOTOR 2 include basically all of the Sith Lords Restored Content Mod? I believe it did, so that it would, you know, mostly function.
