Until they do something to improve scanning (if they even
bother) you guys could try holding the trigger against your knee or rigging it
to stay down (rubber bands work fine).
I spend 5-20 minutes on a planet looking for things, longer if I really need
something. the longest I spend on a planet took me 27 minutes and I used 73
probes on it, it was boring, it was tiring and it was hard to find all the
small deposits since they barely get noticed by my controller or not at all and
the only thing to give them away is the centimeter that extremely wiggly line
moves up for about a millisecond
