They don't return to the stone however.

Tidus most likely meant m/f elf romances, which have never been available in Dragon Age (with a male protagonist).

What did you just said?

Zevran, but maybe I misunderstood the comment of Lobsel.

That there has never been a female elven love interest as a male elf, so that was likely what Tidus was referring to.

Poor Zevran... he suffered so in Kirkwall...

One night stands (so to speak) aren't akin to the long-term relationships you can establish with companions like Morrigan, Leliana, Alistair, ect.

How about "well written characters"

How come no one wants that anymore?

People seems to be pleased when Bioware introduce stereotypes, like Krem, Dorian and Sera. A new Isabela more dwarfy would be perfect.

I think we can have more variety (non-Andrastians) and well-written characters.

No, she doesn't. She wants to hook up with Zev and invites you along, but won't do it if you ask her not to. Just like you can flirt with Tallis and Izzy will mention that she doesn't mind sharing Hawke as long as she asks nicely.

Having an open relationship doesn't mean it's not long-term.

The two concepts are not mutually exclusive.

Toasted Llama,How about a nonhuman LI for a male Elf? It would be nice if BW would do that or a male Elf for a Female Elf- Zevran doesn't count since he tried to kill the female Elf warden. None of my female City Elves buys his sob story. In fact up to the 6th game they slit his throat. The 7th game I started using three rogues.

Why would any self respecting Dalish Elf romance a stinking Shemlen? BW writers couldn't even remember the Dalish isn't exactly fond of Shemlens.

The Dalish are an ethnic group of people, so they aren't all the same; one clan adopted the historical Aveline (who was human), another took in the Hall when he was a child (who was also human), Clan Lavellan can rescue the humans of Wycome, there's a semi-permanent settle of Dalish who live outside one of the cities of Rivain with the humans who follow the Natural Order.

I'd say the romances are problematic due to what Cassandra and Josephine say (the former asking you to add her god to your pantheon as though it was no big deal, and the latter handwaving the schism between the Andrastians and the Dalish), but that's subjective I suppose. There really isn't a love interest who is pro-Dalish, only pro-Andrastian. I also doubt either romantic option would want to live among the Dalish if you feel like returning to the People when all is said and done.

I'll concede that there hasn't been a female elven companion for a male elven player character to romance, but you don't have to bash Zevran or spout negative Dalish stereotypes.

Plenty of elven player characters (male and female) like Zevran good and well. As Lobsel pointed out, plenty of Dalish can and have accepted humans. Heck, Feynriel's mother was a Dalish who left her clan to marry a human merchant, who promptly abandoned her.

However, there can be religious and/or cultural divide between a Dalish player character and Andrastian / human companions. Cassandra and Josephine are both devout Andrastian human nobles who might not appeal to a Dalish PC who feels strongly about his culture. For myself, much as I love Solas, his constant Dalish bashing wore on me, and if he hadn't relented down the line my Lavellan probably would have called things off. I can't even imagine romancing Sera as a female elf because she's so b*tchy about the "elfy" thing, and of course tries to force you to denounce your religion/culture or dumps you.

It would definitely be nice if there was a non-human LI for a (straight) male elf, I'll concede that. At least female elves have options each game (Zevran in DAO, Sera, Solas and Bull in DAI), male elf PCs deserve the same.

Never mind, I missed that you wrote non-human instead of elf.

Poor bony humans and elves just can't compete.

Zevran and an elf Warden, too, if we're counting DAO.

But I think what Tidus wants is a female elf for his male elf character to romance.

Tidus most likely meant m/f elf romances, which have never been available in Dragon Age (with a male protagonist).

Fair enough, he should've been more accurate then though :P

While I agree that it'd be nice to have a female elf for a male elf romance, I completely disagree with the idea that Zevran doesn't count or the generalisation that the Dalish 'hate' shems. My Dalish elves sure as hell didn't.

Ghost Gal, According to Duncan in his opening speech about the Dalish he states that Dalish and humans isn't fond of each other-you even have the option to kill three humans in the Dalish story opening. When the Warden arrives at the Dalish camp the group is warn to leave and after Mithra learns you are a Grey she still warns about Dalish arrows being pointed in the groups direction. A real friendly welcome. The Dalish Inquisitor isn't exactly welcome in the Dalish camp and the craftsman is forbidden to trade with him even though he is counted among the people. That group of Dalish you meet says "who wouldn't like to kill humans?" but, he does relent.

Zevran is a Crow assassin a paid killer that did his best to kill you. You have the option to kill him or recruit him. My female CE wardens isn't about to get a knife in the back while being kissed so Zev doesn't count in my games. I play my games differently then most..I don't forgive and forget.

BTW.The first 6 games I killed Zev is because of bad information -I read he will turn on you. I later found out giving Zev gifts-the wine, boots, gloves and gold he will become a loyal friend. I found that information to be true.

Maybe in a future game I will allow one of my CE females to lower her guard and romance Zev. It won't be Chasha because she hates all men. :o :P
