Could be pretty sweet to have more melee weapons in the game. Either swords or omni tool weapons.

That what it looks like from the trailer.Meaningful and robust weapons modifications would be my hope. Not so much an upgrade system as a customization system. I want my shitty assed rifle to feel like MY shitty assed rifle.

You know... Something simple and stupid can actually change that.
See, it was just an AK. Then I added a two-point original Russian sling, and it was suddenly MY AK, because pretty much nobody has that on their AKs.
The fact that few people have 74s also helps. I have seen one other 74 so far... Then maybe a 103 or a 104.
Or maybe I should just go ahead, say it's a Cyma. But every time, people say "Look, an AK" and only if it catches their eye they start on about what brand that AK is. So it's an AK, deal with it.

Just get the murder knife from DA. Can kill any target with one slice.

The only problem with the murder knife is deciding where to put it:
Stomach?
Neck?
Eyeball?
...
I like eyeball.
Neck, it's more dramatic

Oh, my favourite instance of actually using the knife in the game is the throw into the neck, 'This is as close as I get' - it's about the most badass and roguey thing there is - but I think the scene in isolation looks kinda goofy. The eyeball throw is just perfect cinema.

As development. I want a Pfc that has maybe has exceptional training, but little actual experience in combat. Have them become a badass hero Commander-type by the end of the game.

That would be annoying. We have been trained in combat but we have little experience in exploring. Besides, you choose an officer, not a grunt. You choose the person who is qualified. As development. I agree.Whatever guns that are put in Andromeda I better be able to holster them, how that got removed from ME2 to ME3 is beyond me.

Legend has it that it was an engine limitation for ME2/3.
If you look at the "scenes" from the latest teaser you can see the protagonist has the weapons on the back in various occasions, so I assume it will be a thing.

Maybe the natives have these, that would make them terrifying.

It's doubtful that BioWare would bring back ME1's stat-based shooting and locked out weapons, so so long as the player can hit the mark with their controller, even the unseasoned Ryder will be an excellent shot.
