My 2 favorite moments are, When shaprd emerges out of the wreckage with his badass smile, And the beginning where shepards walks in the normandy just before landing on eden prime, The music in that moment was so ****** perfect.

That whole ending scene is great. My favourite is letting the council die, but as a Paragon supporting Anderson. Makes it a sort of heroic sacrifice, but without the unstable humans-only council.

Then the part where Shepard walks away to the music while Andy does his speech. I like that.

Then the credits song. I like the way it fades out then cuts back to Vigil's theme in the menu.

Also, the intro of course. The talk with Sovereign. The rest of Virmire. The whole of Noveria (except Matriarch Benezia's voice acting and goofy looking costume. Also the choice at the end is one-sided and not really "morally grey" enough).

Also, I find the Corporal Toombs confrontation as a Sole Survivor and 'I remember me' as a Colonist are really nice.

The game peaked for me on Virmire, with the talk with Sovereign, but I did love Ilos. The final assault thing on the Citadel felt a bit generic, but I liked the final bit with Saren at the end.

OP - My favorite ME1 moment, comes a little before yours.

It is when Anderson and my LI first spot Shepard's movement in the wreckage and then spotting this little figure running and hopping through the wreckage like a cat with 9 lives and we go from believing that Shepard is dead to seeing that he/she survived.

 

My second favorite moment is only available if you unlock the Renegade quest called The Negotiation on Nonuel,

When Shepard says: "I;'ve killed worse than you on my way to real problems." and then a second later, tells him "You want the respect you deserve, you piece of crap, here you go"... and opens fire... ending the Negotiation.

I'll agree on the first two. The vigil thing never really got to me... hell, I don't even see the big deal about the song.. and I love Jack Wall

It seems that I like a lot of minor moments... I already mentioned Conrad, but I love the Colonist and Earthborn miniquests too. And pretty much anything with a Volus.

That was the first thing I ever did, when reaching the Citadel. I remember feeling Kotor nostalgia (except for the subtitled alien speak).

This moment was my favorite, it was different from the rest.

There are a lot of favorites in ME.  But the ones I never get tired of seeing no matter how many times I've played - being made Spector is in the top 5 and walking out of the wreckage which has been mentioned a few times is my #1 favorite moment.   

 

Somewhere in my list of great moments is the conversation with Hawkin "I'd rather drink a cup of acid after chewing on a razer blade.  I loved it in 2007 and I still love it now.  Doesn't matter what kind of Shepard I'm playing once I found this I never changed.     A lot of what I love has to do with dialogue choices.  " We're gonna need bigger guns" "they have flashlight heads".  Love the dialogue.

Meeting with Virgil is always a great scene no matter how many times it happens

Virmire. Leaving Ashley behind to guard the nuke. Shep says "I will come back for you" and she answers: "we both know that's not going to happen." And later when Alenko asks why me and not her, he says: "It was either you or her. I chose you." This moment gives Shepard the motivation he needs to stop Saren - to revenge Ash and make sure she didn't die for nothing. I also love the final conversation between Shep and Saren.
