What are the chances that Ryder is distant relative to Shepard? like in DA2's Amell and Hawke.

Well this puts "family problems" into perspective looking at the world today lol.
At least that means there's a chance we're related to BW.

I rather not have Ryder share Shepard's low IQ via family relation. Last thing we need is another dumb-dumb comparing the FCW to the genophage or saying brilliant lines like "we fight or we die, that's the plan!",

That would explain the possible bipolarity of Ryder (like Shep, he/she could be nice to someone and then kick him from a 50th floor on Illium)

Ryder is actually another Shepard clone. Shepard is the Duncan Idaho of Mass Effect.

As many as 98% of humans are related to each other in one way or another. Most of us are related to specific set of individuals from a specific location in Africa.
"Adam and Eve" are very real in that sense.
