 88 minutes !! with the Huntress. Specced for Duration on giant versus reapers, with trusty Carniflex (hardly used).  Hung out by extraction zone, dark channel then run around to the building on other side of map.

 

     Only dangers were being cut off by Brutes, or being grabbed by a husk when ravagers about.

 Thought was in trouble on level ten having to walk the sphere right across the courtyard, had to kite a few times and use up all Six rockets, but got there eventually.

 

Anyone having trouble i recommend the huntress, just have to be prepared for a long game

Still beat my time of 93 minutes.

 

You know what? I'm flipping this. I'm calling 93 minutes a record, and the rest of you have beat it by completing a longer solo!

 

 

 

Also, congrats. Any setup is nerve-wracking when you can't afford to screw up for 88 minutes.

Damn if i had known would have slowed down a bit. Actually wasted a few medi gels by being a bit reckless on the early waves, think could have eeked it out till 100 minutes.

    Amazing how quick the time goes, longer than a movie. House could have been burning down and wouldnt have noticed, unless modem caught fire.

 

Was gold by the way. Not platinum

Personally after a certain amount of time playing slow I would go combo chuck norris / rambo style .. then wonder why I was out of gel on wave 8

Some of the previous failures were quite depressing. Playing for Eighty odd minutes, only to be killed a few seconds from the extraction zone. Dying on wave Ten a few times.

 

   Guess that what makes achieving it feel so good

   Wont be doing any more solos for a while.

I cheesed my first gold solo with a kroguard/talon. (iirc FBW/Geth.) Actually just hosted and wound up having no one show up so I finished the match myself.

I don't know why people don't just use the Juggernaut for their first Gold solos.

He is incredibly easy, and safe, and only takes about 40mins to complete the solo.

I, for one, don't have the patience to spend an hour and a half running away from enemies and waiting out Dark Channel. Sounds even more boring than the KroGuard to me.

My first was the Justicar, 67 min. It gets easier, you'll probably say never again at first but soloing is fun.

He is incredibly easy, and safe, and only takes about 40mins to complete the solo.

I, for one, don't have the patience to spend an hour and a half running away from enemies and waiting out Dark Channel. Sounds even more boring than the KroGuard to me.

But... Dark Channel is all that is good in this world

and Kroguard just wants to have a nice time annihilating his foes

Congrats OP,

I did my first Gold solo with a Warlord specced with nothing but a single massive Biotic Hammer and a pyjak weapon that sounds like a broken washing machine. I pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pewed my way through all the Geth mooks and took down the Primes with the big hammer. It took 67 minutes, and is an experience I never want to repeat, although I'm posting about it because anyone who wants to try a Gold solo but is worried they might not be up to the job could do worse than try a similar approach, but with a better build.
