It's really not that bad. When I use it, I can almost be certain to end up 2nd, or even better, on the scoreboard against Pugs in UUS.
I don't like Reegar Carbine.

If incendiary rounds didn't stack to the moon there wouldn't even be an issue. It wouldn't be broken if not for cheese since it does not know how to armor. So in a sense, the reegar actually was well-balanced.

Nah, the reetard carbine is on a level of borkedness of its own. There is nothing like it in any game, lol.
The other guns you mentioned aren't nearly as borked. They might be slightly too powerful, but they aren't broken.
The only truly broken gun is the lolreetard.
Agreed, no weapon should be able to melt bosses in one clip (that fast). I mentioned the others because BSN regularily spawns threads about them.
Aside from that, does anyone have a substitute gun for the volus bangguard (the batglove isn't an answer
) ? I tried the raider and while it's ok on gold, it feels weak on him on platinum.

It's a perfectly valid choice for that time when Cerberus* bullshits so much that you say, feck all of it and put Reegar on Valkyrie/batsol and go medieval on their sorry asses. Because they richly deserves it.
*or any other faction, really.

I can only carry nine missiles to waste those effing primes with them, after that, the fun is over. With Reegar, I can keep blasting them pretty much indefinitely.
Sure, it's not as satisfying, but I imagine if geth could feel humiliation, melting them with Reegar would be much more humiliating than wasting them honorably with missile.

Eh. Melting them with Reegar means I have to stand looking at them for more than half a second, though.
I prefer nuking their sorry asses and leaving and coming back with moar nukes ![]()

reeger was designed to make up for terrible pugs, so it is balanced.
most the gold games lately have felt like solo's. if i get ninja grabbed by something dragged in behind me by a teammate its game over because 3 other players cant handle the rest of the wave unless they use all their missiles.
so ya, its to balance out terrible pugs end of story lol.

I was more under the impression that the Easy Mode weapons and kits were for less skilled players so they would be capable of surviving through higher difficulties and solos, etc. I mean, a scrub with the Reegar Jugg on gold is a lot less of a liability to himself and his teammates than he would be if he were running around with, say, the AA and struggling not to die every ten seconds. Characters with high survivability paired with strong and easy-to-use weapons make the game less difficult for newbies.
That said, the Reegar is still obnoxious 100% of the time imo.

I can't say that I'd strongly like the Reegar, I've done the challenge and used it occasionally for that. However, I learned it is a great melting gun against Phantoms. I seriously utterly hate those b*tches, and pairing this gun with the Batguard is perfect.
Ram the hag off her feet with biotic charge, then melt her squirming torso into a brittle corpse.
I won't even tell you how I really feel about them.

I hate Phantoms too. I remember when I shot one in the foot with the Geth Plasma shotgun and she did a somersault and hit the floor head first.

Agreed, for the PS3 version which you play. For the PC version it is broken as fvck.

when less skilled players screw the spawns up and die all over its actually more difficult than a solo. in a solo i know the spawns to a degree.
but ya know, say anything on bsn and no matter what it is, it is a crutch. anything but 0 fitness and/or cyclonics are a crutch too in someones opinion out there as well, power amps on a powers toon is a crutch as well.
that said, we all know real men dont even spend a single skill point on their character and die all over the map and then go throw their epeen around on the forums like they achieved something lol

play this game without a screen.
... during a game one time i was trying to get a knot out of my controller wire and I pulled on it a little and a cable slipped out of place so my television went black... I decided to try spinning around and shooting and running to make sure I wasnt gonna die...
... by the time I got the cable back in place I was dead and in spectator mode...
Good luck playing without a screen ![]()

Hey if my creators tried to genocide me I'd fight back too, that one's on the quarians
Don't be obtuse. Genocide is a term for people. It's a commercial recall when toasters are involved.
Geth are like Volkswagens, if the latter spewed copious amounts of mustard gas instead of CO2.

On PS3 at least, its effectiveness is consdierably reduced due to framerate issues. It's still the highest DPS weapon with cheese, but with AP a Raider or Piranha will take down a boss faster, especially if you aren't standing right on top of it (double/triple hits are easier). Ironically, the most poorly coded version of the game is the best balanced one in this regard.
Reegar is still comically broken against anything without armor, tho.

I hosted a UUG game this weekend, which turned out a Glacier/Cerberus. I was using Valkyrie with Reegar.. for science sake, totally didn't want to cheese it ![]()
Long story short, pugs will be pugs, but my pugs were fairly decent in this game. I still came out first, score wise and well, pretty much everything wise... most kills, most assists, most help on objectives. I will say that pugs contributed though.
You know I love Valkyrie and you know I play her good... at least, I think I do. And I usually give her Raider, since it's the single most sexy combo evah! And while I've had some good games with Raider/Valkyrie combo... we finished this game in 20:29.
I was astonished. I mean... the level of destruction was amazing. I almost felt sorry for Cerberus. Almost ![]()
But yeah... if PS3 Reegar Valkyrie can do this... I shudder to think what havoc PC version can wreck.
Btw, get your scurrby ass back in the game and invite me
Been too long since we played together ![]()
