I love statistics (and even have a bit of OCD), so upon discovering there were exactly 64 kits in multiplayer (if we pretend the Battlefield 3 Soldier doesn't exist), I just couldn't help but create a randomized bracket that pits them against each other.

Some clarification on the system.

After some thinking, I decided that this tournament will use the Swiss system. Nobody gets knocked out after losing - in the next round, winners are paired with winners and losers with losers, and then, we pair up those with equal amount of points. All pairings will be random, of course, with one exception - no kits are to face each other more than once.

There would be 8 vote rounds, each round is going to last for two full days.

 

Scoring system.

3 points for winning with 75% of votes or more.

2 points for winning with less than 75% of votes.

1.5 points for draw or winning/losing by just one voice.

1 point for losing with more than 25% of votes.

0 points for losing with 25% of votes or less.

It's much harder to get 59 kits into a bracket. The only way is randomly seeding 5 kits straight into round of 32.

No, with BF3 Soldier it's 59. There are 65 kits total; 64 if you only exclude BF3S, 58 if you exclude both him and the redundant human kits.

I wouldn't be opposed to that, tbh. There are definitely 5 kits which could've gotten 1st round bye. 

 

Also, I believe the matchup was GE vs Drellguard? I hate the fact that I had to eliminate one of them that early.

What!!! People on BSN are going to vote the TGI over the Krosol?!?! Wow, to me there's no comparison .. Krosol = awesome sauce

Stopped reading there, discussion is pointless. BF3 Soldier is as unique a character as half the kits in the game. And with the exception of Cryo Shatter CS Build (and your Zaeed RP build), the BF3 Soldier is superior to the basic human.

Might as well skip either the Volus Adept or the Volus Vanguard, since they're just the same, right?

How about the Vorcha? The Sentinel and the Soldier are pretty similar, lets save time and skip one of them.

What about the Slayer? It's basically the same as the basic human Vanguard, except its Nova is Ranged, and its Shockwave actually does damage.
