I think the point of his system, as he describes it up there in post 1, is that no-one is eliminated.  It's a point system.  Some tricky choices today.

Ha called it. What upsets me is that it was the biggest blowout of the round. Yes, yes turians are great BUT can't a guy get some pity votes for being a member of basically the first race wiped out in the invasion (off screen followed by a throwaway line of dialogue delivered with zero sympathy)? Bray deserves better.

I only played through the story once, but didn't we discover that the lauded Asari superiority was attributable to their hording Protean technology during that mission?

Would it have made more sense to try a non-random bracketing by type for the early rounds? Maybe try to find four loose categories that allow for an equal distribution across the field? Maybe Biotics, Techies, Weapon Specialists, Miscellaneous, something like that. There'd be some blurring between the categories, but you'd need that to set the field up, anyway.
