Maybe this is the real premise of the game.

Ryder bumps his / her head during a cyclone and then wakes up in AndomedOz.

There are a lot of unusual people and animated objects, and eventually you need to find the Technomage to transport you back to the Milky Way.

Tali singing gotta be one of the most cringe-inducing scenes in gaming history, so my answer would be hell no.

I do not know about the main game, but if Bioware ever did a dlc that was like Citadel, a musical of some kind could maybe work and be good or cringy or both. Or just bad or bad and cringy.

This thread requires additional turians.

I was head bobbing to this the whole time I watched.

This is my favorite suggestion I've seen this week.

I'm not even joking.

Hire John Dimaggio right now. His singing voice is amazing. He could be our antagonist or start the singoff.

Edit: I had no interest in Saint's Row before this forum, but I'm starting to feel oddly tempted after a few intriguing posts.

I would recommend it. I haven't played 4 (got it for free a few months ago, but haven't got to it) or Gat out of Hell yet. One is good, but has a more serious tone and story from the rest. It maybe be too dated at this point, but I would say give it a go. Two is the best one imo, it captured a perfect balance between serious yet over the top story and characters. Three is good to but it starts to completely go for all over the top-ness.

Yes! Or a dance off, I could got for either. Or both. It could be an allusion to Hamilton.

Ryder suffers from severe shell-shock. Thinks he's Ethel Merman. Starts singing showtunes

I'm not a fan of musicals, but I thought it was cool for Mordin. Just don't wear out the joke. This isn't Family Guy...Or Guys and Dolls.

Eh, whatever.

Rule #1 of Vidya Games: If a Saints Row game did it, it's probably a good idea.

Or even more on point:

Yes, I'd be fine if Mass Effect: Andromeda had full musical sections. But remember, we're going to need some good Villain songs as well! ;)

It was funny, but I'll take the dramatic episodes. Buffy killing angel, her mom dying, faith's intro, spike's intro..

Well, considering the ending of ME3 was about as bad as it could be, I suppose an alternate ending where Shepard and Harbi have a dance off

could be interesting (at least not worse than the original)...

I feel like I'm failing to grasp something crucial here.

It just found the look he gave him was fitting.

Given the space opera that is Mass Effect, I think an operatic song/stage episode would fit nicely.

*Squadmate song-n-dance*

dramatic pause/hold

(DIALOGUE WHEEL)

Big finish

The moment I read the thread title I instantly thought of this scene. I love saints row crazyness.. but I think it should stay in such games. Mordins singing was nice, but too much is too much.

I don't know.  It worked for Final Fantasy VI as well, all the way back in the 16-bit era.  It's all about context.

Though I think Saints Row actually has the best scenario for this to translate into ME:A.

Just imagine Ryder and Drack spinning the Mako around an unexplored planet, singing random tunes off of Ryder's Omnitool Shuffle.  Could be a fun bit of party banter.
