Somewhere, someone asked if it was possible to kill Druffy the Druffalo.

I don't believe Druffy can be killed prior to completing the quest that returns him back to the farmer. Just for giggles, after I completed the quest I decided I'd try to kill him again. Same old thing, got his health down to almost zero, but couldn't get that last little bit. So I opened a breach over him and, voila, he poofed, as in vanished. I've only done this once, thus I've no idea if his drops are variable, but I did get a Fade-touched Druffalo Hide.

Neat! Also, monstrous!

Wouldn't it be great if no one ever noticed that, if you open a rift over any enemy that drops mats, that the mats will automagically be Fade-Touched? I mean, stands to reason, dunnit?

Actually, that gives me an idea. Will Druffy follow you anywhere once the quest is started? Like up to the lake where Lord Woolsley hangs out? I want to pit Druffy against Lord Woolsley in his angry form.

So you didn't kill Druffy, she just decided you were bugging her so she teleported to a different dimension. However she respected your strength and persistance so gave you a parting gift.  :D

No. There is a predefined area. He can't go the opposite direction in the Valley of the Burnt Men, he can't go toward the wolf cave, he can't go toward the smuggler's cache, and he can't go far off the path leading to his pen. He can't even help you close the rift on the farm, though he can help you close the rift at the waterfall.

Bah! So much for emergent gameplay ...

LOL ... yeah, well, this is my third play through in 30 days and I'm trying to keep myself entertained by doing stuff I normally wouldn't. I actually attacked Druffy (purposely) in the canyon, on my way to the farm, then had my team disengage. Druffy *hurriedly* followed me to his/her farm; whereupon, I went to chat with Dennet and his people. Did all those quests, then came back, picked up the Druffy quest, and it was completed in a flash because Druffy never left the area (though he did not go into the corral).

Does Druffy move faster when he's pissed at you and trying to kill you? Then it might be worth it just to get the quest done faster.

Well, there goes your chance for a druffy romance. For shame.

Wouldn't that be scary if Druffy did reincarnate as a Fade creature, only one that could not be killed, which thereafter pursued me throughout the game? Karma for slaying an innocent beast.

Druffy is the most badass farm animal in Dragon Age.
