Greetings.
Archer Artificer is my favorite but I do not utilize the Yo-Yo build because I think it is preposterously ridiculous.
The Yo-Yo build is where you spam Leaping Shot and Hook & Tackle over and over again, in effect making your character act like a Yo-Yo. I find doing such a thing to be ridiculous because the whole point of an Archer is to be a ranged fighter. Therefore, using Hook & Tackle to get close to any enemy just to use one skill just does not make sense for an Archer. Also, it makes your character look silly.
So here is the build that I use for my Archer Artificer. I call it the Solas approved build:- http://www.rpg-gamin...31341656166776a
I swapped Hook & Tackle for Throwing Blades and I personally like this build a lot better because it makes you feel a lot more like an Archer Rogue. With this build, I primarily use Leaping Shot only when I feel I have to - When an enemy is close to my character and/or when I need to get the hell out of dodge.
To quote Solas when he flirts with a female Rogue Lavellan:- "You train to flick a dagger or an arrow to its target. The grace with which you move is a pleasing side benefit. You have chosen a path whose steps you do not dislike because it leads to a destination you enjoy. As have I."
This build allows you to flick both arrows and daggers onto your target. Plus, you have 2 multi-hit abilities - Leaping Shot and Throwing Blades, which means your character will have a high chance to proc masterworks and score critical hits that allows them to regain stamina and reduce cooldowns without being a silly Yo-Yo. Most importantly, you get all the Artificer's goodness.
PS:- Highly recommended build for a female Lavellan who plans to romance Solas. ![]()
