... When the cabal comes out, she's got a completely unique set of abilities. But years later, there's no consensus on how to put it all together. There's some good ideas about how to use melee or poison strike, but most builds emphasis nightshade blades and a weapons platform, ignoring all that. Where's the creativity? Where's the depth? What happened to finding out what makes a class different?....
Creativity and depth were lost due to lag. You might want to consider changing your title to reflect that it is an explicitly on host guide to the character. Whereas nightshade blades and biotic focus work reasonably well off host. However, melee targeting, poison strike, double dash and even simple dodge without going through the walls do not work like 50% of the time even on a reasonable host with small lag. IMHO, calab is one of the most glitchy characters of all probably because she was released in the last batch and there was no time to adequately account for glitches with her.
I honestly tried a build similar to what you describe in the video to work in a similar manner off host. It might work for a few moments here and there but in general, I tend to die a lot and glitch a lot even with cyclonics. Probably, my personal l2p problem with this kit. However, When I slammed typhoon on her, skipped poisoned strike and used BF+grenades, things greatly improved. I'd say it is not much fun to play her that way but it is very efficient.
However, overall, I very nice guide IMO. At least somebody can make it work reliably.
Also, iirc, I have met exactly a single player who played cabal in the manner similar to that shown in your video. I don't remember the name but it might have been you. I should have remembered as I'm a huge Farscape fan. So, maybe I remember the game just because of you. it was maybe 3 or 4 months back on FB Dagger and I played a horrible cabal also and the lag was pretty bad as I was dead before I could do anything. Yes, there were two cabals in that game. Probably, that other cabal (you?) were hosting, not sure though.
