I'm just starting out playing Origins and would like to get rid of the explanations panel in the lower right corner of the screen?

Go to options in the start menu (or press the button to get the save menu up ingame and go to options there). In the game tab in the option menu, at the bottom of the options on the right side of the screen is an option to "Show Tutorials", uncheck the box next to it and the info boxes should go away. 

 

If one of the boxes is open while you do this you might need to click through it so it closes. (There's a button on the right top of the box on pc, don't know about consoles). But there won't be anymore boxes after that.
