Not sure what made the change, but in one version she insists she is a social worker and in another she works for Aria. ;)

Yeah, if you don't have the red or blue (either) persuasive checks, she just works for Aria. Or you kill her in ME1.

But I've never liked persuading.. Dunno..She seems harmless. My Sheps are usually Earthborn renegades anyways.

How youthful the characters look, especially the PC and the mysterious asari.

Shepard, Wrex, Mordin, Thane, Samara, Zaeed, most of our squadmates in general felt 'too old', too worn out to me. They were cynical and hard to talk to. As if they had already lived the best - or worst - there was to live and were left with only distant memories or a biter taste in their mouth. So Shepard was just another person in their life, with whom it was barely worth having any sort of exchange. For many, following the commander was just regular work and not a chance to have a new adventure, to discover something new.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess Andromeda is targeted at younger audiences, possibly young adults. I just hope the PC and most of the squadmates don't sound like people who're already in their mid-40s. It would be good to experience a young commander who's excited about a fresh, new mission in a totally unexplored galaxy. Someone who's allowed to make some mistakes here and there and who doesn't always take themselves seriously all the time.

I guess Bio / EA is now targeting the young and leaving the "old farts" behind.

This is just what pessimists say in order to try and validate their opinions.

Pessimists make better leaders, whose opinion is valid above all others...

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it you damn optimists!

Just hit thirty this month, so I'm definitely in the old fart category.  :P

Though I confess I'm not entirely sure if the new game will indeed focus on younger audiences. As more trailers are revealed, new information might contradict this first impression.

They probably will - it's second nature to EA by now.

What I'm most looking forward to is running around a load of empty terrain for hours spamming a key in order to locate a load of weeds and debris on the ground, spending frustrating hours trying to scale impassible mountains to collect shards which I never use.

Also:

"This grumpzar spleen looks like it might belong to someone"

two hours later, back at the hub.

"My grumpzar will surely die unless he finds a new spleen real soon"

"I heard you were looking for a grumpzar spleen, I left one for you in Docking Bay 217"

"Wow thanks, that's excactly what I needed"

Five minutes later...

"Hey! Over here!

"What can I do for you?"

"I left my terminal in Administrator Sneebalong's office, and without it I cannot finish this crucial report on crucial stuff that's important"

"No problem, can you tell me where the office is?"

"Just around the corner, about twenty yards from here"

"Is there no way you could get it yourself?"

"Nope, sorry, I have to stay rooted to this spot"

Five minutes later

"Here you go"

"Wow, thanks again"

I'm not excited about anything they have confirmed so far, all of the potentially exciting stuff is still very much up in the air.

To be fair, Gavin Hossle did this very thing on Feros.

But somehow that turned out to be more entertaining. :P

Welcome to the club.

New trailers might contradict but I am convinced that Bio meticulously goes over what to put in a trailer before release to:

1. reveal  bits of actual game info B)

2. mostly hide game info

3. hint at game features

4. provide "food" for the BSN :P

I never cared for any of their trailers tbh.. except ME2's cinematic one. Which practically said nothing about the game itself.

I wouldn't say you're an old fart.

You're just now in that unique age range where you're young, but old enough to be teased about being old ;)

I'm pushing 40... I joke about being an old fart, but I'm not really, I think.

And you 30 year olds are still kids. Get off my lawn!

- Younger cast of characters.

- Ryder siblings.

- 500 + years since the end of ME3. It's really good to leave the original trilogy behind and focus on new stories, worlds and characters.

I'm looking forward to a fresh start! Not because of the trilogy which shallt be named but because it'll be a new game. Shep was awesome but it's sometimes good to see a new face leading things for once. Or semi-leading, depending where Ryder is in the pecking order. Let the reign of Ryder the Great begin!
