Before you crucify me, just allow me to say that that was tongue in cheek. We neither need nor want such a cameo.

However, theoretically, it should not only be possible but, in fact, what logically should happen. The game happens 300 years into the future. Control Shepard, being an immortal with access to the most advanced technology in the Milky Way, should have been able to outfit the Reapers for intergalactic travel and go check up on what is happening with the expedition into Andromeda.

Control Shepard is basically God. Morgan Freeman can't be everywhere at once.

I wouldn't say cameo.. I'd say it was the only good sequel possibility.

And I picked Destroy. But if they insist on carrying on, Control would've been entertaining at least. Awrful, but entertaining :P

:P

No, please, leave Shepard be. No matter if he or she is dead in a green meltpot, or if he/she is a big immortal machine or if she or he takes a breath at the end.

LEAVE SHEPARD BEEEEE

...

However, could you imagine something more disturbing that a big bad guy which is literaly big because is a Reaper and it's horrible because it has Shepard conscience inside? :crying:

I chose destroy.

So did I... but the hero who destroys Control Shepard would be sweet. :P

Sweeter than a Ryder story at least.

I think we should get like a nod to our decisions (endings and even what happened afterward) via receiving a transmission or info back from the Milky Way.

I played all the endings, but in my canon playthrough,  the milky way is toast.

In my canon playthrough, my Shepard is making toast... right about now.

Yeah, control was my favorite ending. I would like to see Shepard making a cameo as the Reaper Executor, helping out our protagonist in a huge battle. Connection to the trilogy or not, I'd buy it.

Lord no, just no, let the dead hero(?) rest in peace and leave the sweet memory of "good ole days" of ME 1, 2, 3 stay just that a memory, good, bad or otherwise.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm eager to start a whole new adventure in the Mass Effect franchise but don't want a rehash of the other 3's story line, that one is dead and gone.

Mecha God Shepard vs Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Make it happen, BioWare! (Of course, unless the Reapers have really stepped up their game, it won't be much of a fight... But hey, having Commander Shepard for a soul - or whatever the **** - has to count for something, right?)

In a similarly non-serious suggestion, here's the only Shepard cameo I have any interest in:

XnJIWwV.jpg

You're a weenie little Level 1 Ryder with all the combat potential of a slightly wilted lettuce. All that stands between you and one of these charging space gorilla thingies is a pistol that couldn't explode a gasbag. All hope seems lost. But then, out of nowhere, a resounding *BANG* as a blue streak comes flying from out of frame, crashing into the gorilla and sending it hurtling off a cliff--the blue streak in tow.

On the wind, whispering, you hear a familiar voice. 'Vanguards for life' it says, so quietly that you're left wondering if you actually heard anything at all.

And then no one ever comments on it for the rest of the game.

I don't know. You'd think that the hyper-advanced, totes-perfect Synthesis Milkway civilization would've have leapfrogged the Arks to spread their enlightenment to Andromeda.

That's kind of horrifying, since the team in MEA wouldn't know what's coming eventually.

It ain't easy being green.

Kind of reminds me of my big brother... who was a jerk.

He'd dig out a big giant yellow green booger out of his nose and chase me around the house, pinning me down, tormenting me.

Ahem.... nevermind. Had a flashback there...

I'll take anything Creepy Shepard (Ruined Destroy Cyborg, Disturbing Control Avatar, Bizarre Synthesis Being) just as long as we're entirely allowed to believe that Mortal Shepard may have had a peaceful and happy enough life and death until then.

I can then decide whether this Creepy Shepard is my Shepard or not, instead of "OMGGGGG THEY RUINED MY SHEPARD" automatic negative response possibility. Actually, make even more perceptual separation by having any flesh be of a clone, not the Shepard we played.

I'm still an ITer at heart. I just don't want player rage to overcome the audience's enjoyment of the media. I'm all for a Shepard mindtwist, just do it intelligently enough that people will still love the game (and just some will love it even more for the twist!).

PERSONALLY.

... I'm actually a big fan of the Control ending and I'd love to see a Reaper Shepard cameo.  :wizard:

Not even the Reapers could find just anyone in the galaxy on a whim. Your scenario might be plausible, but it's unlikely, and far from necessary.

We're better off leaving Shepard be, and probably the Reapers as well.

Since it was speculation for everyone, all my Shepards from every ending lived. So there.
