So yea ive been fighting this issue for some time because the amount of people playing now is not very high.

Im a PC player.

When i had some issues with my router and work VPN. i decided to upgrade my ASUS RT-N18U to the Tomato Firmware. Spent like 3 hours to get that one working. But in the end it did.

Using that firmware i was able to connect to my work VPN, finally. Aswell as test the Mass effect 3 MP join games issues.

So i started asking a friend to try join me, who never was before.

First test, failed.
Then i put my computer on DMZ in the router. Basicly putting my static IP LIVE for the whole world with no firewalls behind me.

Second test: Success. he was able to join me.

Then i went into my Port forward settings in my router and it displayed this:

https://www.dropbox....yb/nat.png?dl=0

That is correct by what others had said before.

However i had actually only set that port up for EXTERNAL, but NOT INTERNAL as can now be seen here:

https://www.dropbox..../ports.png?dl=0

When i then disabled DMZ, quitted the game, quitted origin, logged back in. He was still able to join me.

Now this may be very technical, but i can help if somebody is facing the same issue :)

i had that issue back a long time ago, basically i had a modem and a separate router.

i had ports set up but still had the issue.

turned out that it was that both devices had the firewall active on each individually, so i turned off one of them and that solved the problem for me.

i got a router/modem combo device now so i dont have to even do any of that now.

Don't put your computer in your DMZ. You will likely regret it.

I managed to solve that problem by opening all ports mentioned in the corresponding thread here on the forums (to be found in the MP-Compendium-Library somewhere) both in my Windows Firewall and my router.

Last one was a bit of a pain in the *ss because the device I got from my provider isn't really user-friendly concerning Port Forwarding, but I finally got it to work after completely restarting the router afterwards.

I'd only put my PC into the Krogan DMZ, really  ;)

Console users can get away with using a DMZ, but I would echo that it's not a good idea to do so with a PC.

My Hosting PS3 is DMZ, but then, I don't even have any paypal/visa info on it because I got sick of the payment BS of PSN and Steam.

Thx OP.
1) That is an interesting solution to put your microsoft PC in the DMZ.
2) It's not the absolute worse solution though - a worse solution would be to launch the IIS service in addition also and publish your admin user and password there on the root index.html. To attract the right clientele you can also launch a Tor service - I bet you would have the bare metal glowing with traffic after just 8 hours and be astonished how much services /traffic your PC is involved with worldwide.
3) since security is not a major concern anyway for you,can you share your broadcom ip address with us to experiment around, also?

PS. Question to OP - The higher the ports that I NAT, the higher my game score. Do you think that there is some connection? If so, Can it be used to invert my earned credits?. Ie to force EA to payout unused credits when closing an account? Why? Together with modmaker this can become the goose laying golden eggs -and I won't have to work anymore. TSK I cannot wait for Andromeda's microtransactions anymore. Millionaires overnight.
