Could the Council races be in the equivalent of a hyper advanced race coming to a galaxy much bigger and without the Relay network, if so then they can take a major lead in the Andromeda storyline and if it becomes a trilogy then the new main enemy can become an ambigious threat that the player has to discover in say easter eggs? Many seem to want a less threatening enemy and the producers want to focus on exploration so maybe the main enemy/elder race can take a backseat. Possibly with only the Council races being aware of them whilst the Andromeda races are unaware?

Thoughts?

I'm just sad that it's probably too soon to pull the, 'the big bad was in your party the whole time!' card again. Loved that.

MW races being culled every 50000 years makes the complete opposite is more likely.

I agree, if anything I am thinking that it might be that Andromeda will demonstrate what would have happened if the Reapers didn't cull the Milky Way with having an AI that is controlling all the organic races and we are going to get stuck in the middle of that conflict.
