They're making it for current gen hardware and not circa 2004 potato hardware, which is enough.

Going by BioWare's track record they don't really push the technology of the game to push the graphical side of development, their focus has always been elsewhere.

Yeah, Mocap isn't new for BioWare, but I'm hoping we'll see even more use of it in future games (it's expensive though). But EA's Mocap studios in Burnaby are one of, if not the, best in the world.
Obviously from the trailer we can see facial animations are much improved, and they brought in crowd tech from PGA Tour and devs from Need for Speed to work on the handling of the Mako. EA moving more and more of their games over to Frostbite and then having Devs from different studios help out one another was a very smart move. Each studio has it's area of expertise and that elevates everyone. BioWare helping out the next NBA game with their story mode is another example.
And Frostbite continues to improve (lighting, particle effects, etc., etc.). I keep an eye on their development and I think the next big thing for their RPGs will be Photogrammetry, which they used to create the amazing environments/in-game props in SW Battlefront. Now that they have experience with it, it'll only get better. ![]()

Fixed that for you.
Point taken, but still accurate, as it's the current gen, for better or for worse.

Well given the current gen is now no longer current gen after the E3 announcements, it does make you wonder!

Since they're able to ditch the 2004 hardware of the last console generation, I imagine that it will probably have improved graphics.
Though I'd rather them focus on good gameplay and writing over shiny visuals.

Yes, there is hope for better.
However, the bottleneck is still, as always, the "potato(e)s", albeit this time from 2012.
