Explosive Rounds even more useless than I thought

Just found out that they, among other useless things, trigger the freaking Praetorian bubble.

Now I wonder if they do the same things with Banshee and/or Phantom, but can't get myself to try Explosive Rounds again.

Explosive rounds are what you use if you don't have anything else at all which is basically never.

Cryo I > Explosive rounds III, what were they thinking?

All my Explosive Rounds are at 255 and are gonna stay there, nice and neat in the rear most corner of the Armory.

Explosive Rounds were never really useful.  It wasn't surprising when they weren't useful in ME3.

I'd sooner use Drill ammo I with an Acolyte than Explosive ammo I-III with anything (other than a Kishock, because the idea of the harpoon exploding amuses me, however divergent the results are from my imagination).

Explosive Rounds were never really useful.  It wasn't surprising when they weren't useful in ME3.

They were in ME1. If you gave your team the rare XXXIV guns with frictionless material and explosive rounds you could kill almost anything in a matter of seconds.

a lot of explosive stuff is not very good, the ammo, falcon and krysae (but apparently it used to be op before it was nerfed) 

 

(note: i mean weapons and ammo only, not powers)

maybe we need Michael Bay

Not really.  Will mostly just ragdoll them and cause your weapon to overheat.  28% damage for 500% heat was a bad trade.

I saw a post from some BioWare employee saying explosive rounds were their favorite, and I just don't trust this company at all anymore.

By the way, anyone interested by a stock of 765 explosive rounds ? I trade them against 1 AP 4.

Obviously you never took Garrus and Ashley on the Citadel run, each equipped with spectre sniper rifle Xs and HE rounds. You don't even need to do anything yourself.

explosive rounds are to make it look like you are going to try hard in silver, so people, i imagine say "wow that player really wants to win they equiped level 3 ammo!"

This. My garrus alone would one shot rachni, geth destroyer and krogan warlords with his sniper and leave them floating in cinders. I had liara with sprectre pistols with explosives. I didn't lift a finger in most of my fights.

Where's acicm when you need him....

 

The Falcon is dope af, not OP but a decent weapon.

Actually just finished a run last night.

 

HE is 28% damage... Tungsten 40%.

 

HMWSR X will overheat on every shot with HE rounds, doesn't matter what mods.

 

Garrus running the same rifle will shoot basically indefinitely running Tungsten and do more damage per shot.

 

HE is sort of amusing for some ragdolls, but other ammos do more damage.

Level 56 Infiltrator Shepard w/ HMWSR X + Dual Rail VII + Tungsten VII won't even one-shot a Geth Trooper on the Citadel unless you use Assassination.  Dropping mod damage by 44%, ammo damage by 12% doesn't help damage per shot.

Explosive rounds are like a turd that won't flush.  Fortunately the RNG is somewhat merciful with not giving me them very often.

 

At least cryo rounds are somewhat useful. 

 

Biower should have been drug tested after thinking of explosive rounds up.  In fact I'm fairly certain they are savant level trolls at this point.  I mean they obviously thought giving Phantoms a portable Death Star in their palms was just fine.  Oh and ignore all the rules Dragoons too.

 

Tl;dr: explosive rounds bad
