We really didn't get much at E3 considering the game is supposed to be out 6-8 months from now, and this forum has become largely unbearable with the troll threads and bickering over pessimism vs optimism. If we have to wait until November 7th for more info how awful is this forum going to get in the meantime? And are we realistically expecting the game to even make the January-March 2017 release window?
So is N7 Day the next time we're getting info?

I try not to think about the releasedate too much. They said the game is in it's final stages but considering the amount of revealed content so far it still is very possible that the game gets delayed again. I don't know, I want to play this game badly but I'm getting tired of speculating about it's release so I'll just.... wait or something? Same counts for the next time we're getting info. I check the forums and the internet regularly but I keep my expectations as low as possible. It's been so long since the announcement anyway that it's just hard to stay invested in the development of this game all the time. There are plenty of things to do in the meantime so at least the wait isn't unbearable for me. Not sure if I could say that for the rest of the forumdwellers here...
. It also helps that I am also waiting for M&B II Bannerlord. That game was announced in 2012 and still doesn't even has a releasedate yet. I guess I can say that I am slowly getting used to all the waiting without news. ![]()

Depends on EA's schedule. As soon as it's Mass Effects turn for the promotional limelight, they'll have at it. When that is though, I couldn't tell ya.

Well, if we look at FO4, it dropped 4 (ish?) months after being revealed. I think that by the time that they do a big info dump, we're gonna see it in about four months. November - March fits within that spectrum.
So, it's a maybe. But an educated maybe.

All I know is that if I never wind up playing it, because they took too long.
It will mean that I'm dead.

They said "this fall" it seems likely, but why couldn't just come out and say it? I suppose things could change, better to give vagueness then anything concrete
They shot themselves in the foot by revaling it to soon; if they were doing the Fallout 4 thing.
They're clearly not doing "the Fallout 4 thing." You can't retroactively announce a game 3 years after announcing it.

Best of luck to you friend.
I won't give up hope if you don't. So I hope you enjoy playing through Andromeda, when you finally get your hands on it.

After my pov of the ME3 fiasco being due to overhype (hype left unchecked leads to unrealistic expectations which were high in the community. Also the leaked script leading to the supposed rewrite of the ending) I tend to not even look at trailers even for things outside of ME now. I feel this same reason why bioware is keeping a tight ship with tighter lips on the release of info on ME:A is to help prevent this.

- how awful is this forum going to get in the meantime?
The state of this forum is entirely irrelevant as the posters constitute a fraction of those who will swing by pre-release,
even the state of the forum at peak is irrelevant.
- And are we realistically expecting the game to even make the January-March 2017 release window?
EA financials say so, so yes I think that's pretty safe.
(I can hear content getting cut now... - a normal activity 6-8 months out - )

This is pretty much the same route they took with Dragon Age: Inquisition, for they didn't really start giving out a lot of information about the game until E3 2014 which was only four months before the original release date of October 2014 before they pushed it back to November. Even the information release prior to the major information dumps were about as useful, the difference was that they didn't have any documentary type footage.
Going by past experiences I doubt these forums would be any better if we knew information about the game or not, the subjects would be just slightly different.
As far as meeting the release schedule unless something happens in the meantime I would think that a Q1 release is still when we will get the game. There might be a small delay, but it will be really close to when they have announced it.

That's such a cop out. The devs hyped up the game non-stop for over a year and lied about the content of the game. I'm so sick and tired of people putting the blame on players. The players didn't make BioWare put out a bad product or lie about said product. If BioWare didn't want hype they shouldn't have talked about the "over 40 endings" and all that other crap that turned out to be lies.

I've seen ONE lie which was not classified as puffery or subjective which was that we could choose pro-cerberus and chouses matter. That promise was made before the script leak. The ending rewrite due to it could have made the pro-cerberus storyline or our ending choices.
Why I attribute the script leak to hype. Simple. If those associated to the leak were not overtaken by hype the leak A) wouldn't have happened or
The hype train also only decelerates through A) destination reached or
Sorry dude you're the one coping out
