It's easy for people to make assumptions when repeated data is fed to you. Ideas on this forum get repeated over, and over, and over again until eventually, people start believing that that idea is so 'correct' that anything but that is false.

Best comparison to that I can make is religion.

Perhaps the choice of hairstyle and companion orientation preferences should be affected by the ending of ME3  :P

Because we're surrounded by pd,220x200,macbook_air_13-pad,220x200,ff

who wanted more Dawson's Creek than good ol fashioned action. They obviously bought the wrong game by accident - they meant to buy Sims instead but they're too much of pd,220x200,macbook_air_13-pad,220x200,ff

Well it's obviously not a rumor. The Reddit leak stated it and we saw her with a blonde ponytail in the gameplay leak.

I think what Lady Artifice is saying is that none of that is concrete fact until the game is out of alpha and/or we are introduced to this Cora officially.  It's easy to believe that a leak is 100% fact after it's corroborated by gameplay footage, but so many things change during the course of development.  Unless a BioWare employee states that the leaks are accurate, then we won't know for certain.  And even then, the developers might decide to change things around.  That was part of the problem with DA:I, and I think that's why BioWare is so hesitant to show footage now (among other reasons).

Sure, we've seen a blonde woman that most people are certain will end up being Cora.  But Dorian's eyes were hazel until the devs changed them to blue.  In fact, in an early leaked survey Dorian was white!  So just don't convince yourself that this leaked information is a certainty or you might end up disappointed.   ;)

Don't need to wait. We already have the evidence we need. The recent trailer confirmed the gameplay leak and the Reddit leak was right about the Tempest, Helius cluster, Krogan Drak, etc. I'm not assuming from complete nonsense, I'm talking about facts here from what we've seen and heard. We saw a human woman with a helmet that has Cora's armor in the 2015 trailer. Can't call me crazy when I have good evidence. That's what separates the bull******** from the people who are right. ;)

First of all, I would never call you crazy for believing that a leak which has thus far proved accurate will continue to be so.  I myself am fairly certain that Cora will be blonde, but there's no reason to convince myself it's a given just because someone on the internet said so.  My post was not a personal attack so I apologize if you took it that way.

Second of all, you missed what I was trying to tell you in my first post entirely.  Things change, as with the examples I gave you from Inquisition, in the time between alpha and beta.  That gameplay leak was clearly very early on in the game's build, and the E3 trailer showed a woman in similar armor.  To my knowledge, the woman in question also had a helmet on in the official trailers, so it's a bit difficult to say for certain whether they are identical.  Would I be surprised?  No.  But until "Cora" is shown officially, I'm going to take it with a grain of salt.  I was burned by expectations in development-stage games before (DA:I's original Crestwood, for example) and I'd rather not do it again.

I'm not really interested in arguing this, though, as at the end of the day what you choose to believe is your choice, after all.  Different strokes and all that.  So I'll chalk this up to a difference of opinion.

Well, that's what you get when you leave everyone withought any relevant information. First people speculate, then they speculate about those speculations. After awhile everyone gets confused what was confirmed and what wasn't. Let's not forget about questions being repeated over and over because there isn't anything new to talk about. Oh, and troll thread lots of those too.

Try to imagine how this forum will look in a month or two.

Working as intended.

Yep.

"If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."

Adolf Hitler

This is something that many propagandists realize truth doesn't matter to the stupid. So long as you continue to repeat things over and over people will believe it. And because we see this so often people now think facts are nothing more then the person who disagrees with you, talking points. They hold zero weight, asking for evidence has become viewed as an attack.
