Locking skills?

Our PW has a skill system, where you only level up from training in the world. For example, you start off at level 1 (Forced to lvl 1 upon creating character), and to get to level 2, you need 82 xp.

Cutting a tree would give you 25xp in Woodcutitng. So once you've cut 4 trees, you'll level up your woodcutting to level 2.

Problem is, if the player puts any skill points into the skill via leveling up their combat/total level, it can break/cause massive issues for the skill they put skillpoints in, due to the fact that you'll be a skill level you don't have the correct xp in.

I know it could be possible to just update the xp to the skill level, but I don't want players to be able to not train the skill, and level it up through their total level.

What I'm looking to do is to completely lock players from using skill points, but I've been playing around with the 2da's and I can't seem to give the player 0 skill points on leveling etc.

Any help?

I would think you could give them 0 on level up, but I suppose you also need to catch bonus skill points from intelligence.

SetSkillPointsRemaining is a function, so you could probably edit whatever level up script uses that function and force a set to 0 skill points.
