My ME:A game breakdown

Story Time

1.- 30 hours for the main arc

2.- 10 hours for side quests

3.- .5 hours for romance dialogue

4.- .5 hours of team chatter

5.- 5 hours for sp-mp

6.- 1 hour character development

7.- 20 seconds of nudity.

8.- 3 hours of loyalty missions.

9.- endless hours of exploration with the Mako

Exploration

1.- 70 +/- planets will be explored vi AI units similar to DA:I advisor missions

2.- 5 +/- planets are Home Worlds of major races visited only my missions if any

3.- 20 planets explorable via main missions / side quests

4.- 10 planets we can explore after a major mission with "things to do"

5.- HUB with major races + NPC quests + stores + bars

Quests, Missions and Loot

1.- 5-10 that actually give you something worthwhile (ie: weapons / gear)

2.- 90% of "loot" is worthless

3.- 6 good NPC quests

4.- major missions will provide good combat + design levels

Romance

Everybody will get a crack at a LI.

Multiplayer

1.- Solo missions with AI characters

2.- Many missions with modest gear gains

3.- poor drop rates (ie: you need to grind)

4.- No trading or team war chest

5.- Buddy without proper gear/weapon can't come with you in certain maps / levels

6.- No market place.

To properly succeed the MP must keep the player invested and be fun to play. Good luck with that.

Combat

1.- dumbed down to target the casual player

Anybody can add / subtract or change my viewpoints. Some numbers were used because games never deliver on marketing descriptions. The 70/30 for example... yes arbitrary but probable in the ball park.

Thoughts anyone?

Cerberus will creep in there somehow.

1. Some sort of crafting system.

With no marketplace, "roll your own" will have a new meaning.

What if ME3 had a singleplayer?

Subtle (or not so subtle) justifications for ME3 with jabs at the anti-ending crowd.

Half-arsed attempts to be "art"

Twists that make no sense

Half-baked "themes"

Little to no agency on the part of the players.

I can see it now two NPCs talking with one giving multiple sound reasonable reasons to why something is flawed. While the other has his hands on his ears going "la la la la". Then again, I doubt Bioware is into self-deprecating humor.

It did.  It was pretty good, as it happens.

What's the "preteen angsty shite"?  If it's the SP, then what difference does MP make either way?  Or if it's the MP, then what difference does that make to SP if that's what you enjoy?

It'll have a lot a handful of abrupt "character-driven" side-missions that can barely be called stories.

It'll have a lot of dialogue that aims to reach for the stars but lack the context to be meaningful.

- "We humans have always been explorers. Blablabla, It's always been in our nature to stretch out our arms and reach up in our own butthole!"

It's going to have a system that monetizes your Colonization progress called "TEA" (Total Expansion Advancement) and for example, you'll need a TEA of 20% to unlock a vital story-mission. You earn TEA by taking down hostile outposts on other homeworlds or do pod-racing against other Mako-like vehicles and by setting up camps-- I mean bases around the world. The game makes you feel like you're accumulating points that will determine the ending you get but really it just unlocks it and goes up to 300% if you complete the game 100% and 200 of those percentages are practically pointless unless you enjoy doing fetchquests or extracting fuel and minerals by holding down a button when prompted in the Mako, which you'll need to do for 10 seconds in 400 different places.

The characters will get lots of raving fandom but in actuality they're not three-dimensional or tied into the story well at all.

Oh, and the main plot is going to suck ballz. It'll be about the player being a Mary Sue who becomes a historic figure in the advancement of the human Race in the Andromeda Galaxy by defeating a generic bad guy and setting up some bases, and on the side it will have the Ryder Family, full of the trademark BioWare daddy-issue stories. The father and mother is getting divorced and the brother is going through a phase. What will Ryder do to unite his/her family!? Something as lame as that.

When the game ends you'll have a feeling of emptiness becuase there really wasn't much of an arc to the story or any stand-out moments that weren't blatant setpieces where everything is all actiony and cool.

I'm expecting that because it's ME:A if you base it on DA:I. Hopefully it won't do that; BioWare said so, but they say a lot of things that end up being complete BS.
