I remember making a similar thread some months ago. There were some really cool ideas there on what to add to your quarters.

It would be nice to have small tokens of your friends suddenly appear in your cabin as your relationship with them progressed. You befriend the krogan or another tough species and the next day, you find a necklace made from the tooth of a gigantic monster you two defeated together on a mission.
We could also periodically receive holographic messages recorded by our squadmates or by the aliens we meet (as we explore the galaxy) that we can access before or after quests.
It would be nice to have brief, but significant scenes where we interact with our friends in our cabin and spend quality time. We could play space chess with the salarian, for instance, or a war game with the turian. And in these bonding moments, Ryder would hear them talk more about their species and provide insight that perhaps was lacking in the ME trilogy.
There were such scenes in ME3 - chess with Traynor, shooting competition with Garrus - and as a player, I treasured them. They made for a much richer experience to me.
Edit: added a missing 'a' in treasured.

An actual punch bag in our personal quarters to which we can add a face to it with import image feature. That'd be fun! I will surely pick the below image

This is so much what I want. These downtime scenes can do a lot to let the player in on the moments that help build a sense of friendship or simply camaraderie between characters. It's what I feel can help make the characters including the player character feel more like people.

Some kind of music player, that may randomly cause Ryder to start dancing "the Shepard".
As well as the possibility for someone to appear at the door and notice Ryder getting their groove on.
Crew: Errr......
Ryder: You. Saw. Nothing!

For myFornaxbook collection.
This library is beautiful. I love libraries and am somewhat saddened that they will probably go the way of the dodo with electronic books. *sniffles* The ark library will most likely be electronic just as any animals brought along will be DNA. No dinosaurs in cages for us. At least we have Krogans.
Color customization would be my most valued feature.
I'd love to have the customization of The Sims 3 for living quarters and clothing. Hell, for character creation as well.
If I could mash up different games to make one game to rule them all, I'd take the cusomization of The Sims 3, the open worlds from Bethesda (since we're apparently not getting away from open world anytime soon), the city detail in Assassins Creed and, of course, Biowares's story and characters. I have no clue which games combat system I'd use as I don't play many shooters. This would be a fun thread to post but it would be bogged down eventually by The Witcher talk.

This reminds me of a wonderful scene in Buffy, where Giles ruminates on why libraries going electronic is a bad thing.
Jenny: Honestly, what is it about them that bothers you so much?
Giles: The smell.
Jenny: Computers don't smell, Rupert.
Giles: I know... Smell is the most powerful trigger to the memory there is. A certain flower or a whiff of smoke can bring up experiences long forgotten. Books smell musty and rich. The knowledge gained from a computer... it has no texture or context. It's there and then it's gone. If it's too last then the getting of knowledge should be tangible. It should be... smelly.
(As an avid book nerd myself, he's totally spot on here)

Yes, and the feel of a book in your hands and the rustle of the pages as you turn them. There's nothing like walking into a library with tall shelf upon shelf of books just waiting to be read. You can't get that with E-books. But, they have the advantage of being green, space saving, cheaper, portable. They just lack the same tactile impact on the senses. This reminds me of a wonderful scene in Buffy, where Giles ruminates on why libraries going electronic is a bad thing.

Heh, reminds me of how I'd put stripper poles and pianos in my places whenever possible in Saint Row 2. A lot of the crew were young; it seemed a good way to introduce them to culture by appealing to their interests!

I want my own latte machine.
I want my own ice cream cooler.
I want a hot tub.
I want a sauna.
I want a martini bar, fully stocked.
I want room for a dog, no not a stoopid space robot dog but a Labrador retriever.
I want a fancy schmancy stereo with good music, not that schlock from the last game.
I want a huge curved screen tv with at least 4 or 5 video game systems.
I want a red ryder bb gun.
I want a large comfy bed.

Let us play the Noveria music on the omni-stereo clock again.
More music selections on the space clock iPod is key. Hell, that's actually one area where I think the whole GTA-style, 'fill a folder full of your own MP3s and we'll let you play them on this radio station' system would be absolutely perfect. That way, our characters could actually listen to their respective players' music selections from the 'What would your ideal Mass Effect: Andromeda character be listening to?' thread.

And the Afterlife soundtrack.
Hell, let's have Chora's Den music, too.
EA's sitting on a mountain of cash. They can implement any feature we want. Let Ryder have a selection of 50,000 songs in that clock. Including stuff we download on the internet to our computer. Idk, just allow the player to choose a folder where the game will access the songs. Put that feature in the configurations menu. Done, infinite playlist in Ryder's cabin.
Imagine making love to your LI to the music of your choice and not to Space Romance Track 1 - ME: Andromeda OST.

I don't want anything beyond the necessities. This is not going to be a luxury cruise, the only reason for being in a cabin is the get some sleep in military style bunks. To relax I'd rather go to a bar or hang out with the crew mates instead of having my own room filled with expendable trash.
