Hi everyone. I imagine some of the forumgoers here have made use of the Fextra wiki for Dragon Age: Inquisition at launch and possibly recently. As you all know I love this game so I haven't forgotten to work on this.

I wanted to share that, after over a year of work, we are now moving the wiki to our own software and adding a lot of features. The Dragon Age wiki we host has been imported to this new software and should now get the following buffs

  • Better responsiveness: The sidebar menu now collapses into a sticky header menu for mobile, making accessing categories simple. Click the right side of each category to show more options for each!
  • Better search: We are now using Google search within the wiki, giving you an image preview of the pages and not displaying comments/discussions in them
  • Faster Speed: The previous software was not optimized for today's devices. The new wikis should load much faster!
  • A fantastic editor: The new software allows easy WYSIWYG editing from anyone. You will find a fully featured editor that makes adding content easy!
  • Better commenting: Comments have a cleaner, nicer display, and can be replied to and voted on.
  • New Theme Switcher: You can now browse the wiki in a light theme if you wish, just click a button to change the stylesheet (local cache/cookie required)
  • Improved Content: we are also working on a revamp of the content so that it is more responsive and presented in a better way. Hope this is helpful to everyone!

Please feel free to contact me with any ideas, issues, suggestions or comments. Feedback is highly appreciated! :)

Have you slimmed down on the video based ads or can you do that? Sometimes there are scripting errors with those ads too and it really drags a system down.

That's the only thing I don't like. It's a useful site, but it's frustrating. edit: Oh wait, this isn't Wikia. It looks clean. Ignore me :P

Hi :)

@Straykat Yes indeed it's not wikia. Trying to provide a more rpg-centric wiki tool but it's a fansite so not really as big xD. However we do have ads to support development, so if you see video ads on the Fextra wiki please send me a message - I HATE THEM and will ban it as soon as they are found (they are sneaky and hide but with user reporting we can bust them).

I'll take anything over the wikia with the official dragonage name in the title that's run by fascists, but your website actually does look superior to it.

I'll take anything besides for Wikia itself.  :D

Is it just information on Inquisition or is it for Dragon Age as a whole, e.g., books, comics and other games?

Still my go-to guide for War Table missions. Much better layout and organization than Wikia. I noticed the CSS and layout refreshes a few days ago, I like it. Responsiveness is already better. Keep up the good work!

Speaking of new content, it really, really needs a DLC refresh, particularly for Trespasser. I used to use the Schematics and Crafting Materials guides, but they've lagged behind on Trespasser updates. What's the ETA on that?

We made this wiki specifically for Inquisition. I find other wikis do everything under one domain in order to get high rankings, but that creates a navigation nightmare for users. If more Dragon Age content comes out, I'll make more wikis and inter-link them but they will have separate domains so that players looking for guides or details on one character don't have to use a divination stone to figure out which game they are reading from :P

I have the DLC in my to-do list for this summer. I'm really sorry it wasn't done before, I got sidetracked with the software & then witcher, fallout and dark souls kinda consumed my life xD

I'll be updating everything as I go through the content. If you want to help, you can hit "edit" on any page. The editor is pretty intuitive and will allow you to add content rather easily :)

Fexelea, is Fextralife willing to host the guide/reference content in the DA forums? You could be a safe-haven for refugee content.

Yes absolutely - please feel free to make them wiki pages, I'm in the process of making a forum category for refugee content.
