Question is there a way to replace the look of the standard city walls?

 

Is it possible to make an addon hak that would replace the standard city tileset walls to look just like the Castle Exterior Rural tileset's Castle Low walls?

Thanks " Kalbaern " but it seems the more I work with the tilesets and textures the pickier I get. So at this point in time I will stick to making my own reskin.

TO _maybe I'm misunderstanding the question but same as the other tilesets. The sidewalks and streets look like different textures so it shoud be the same method you used.. 

 Are you encountering a different problem ? 

 

Identify and replace. Good thing about standard tileset is that a tga in the override will work for testing purposes.

But I do have a Question

 

Would the Standard City look better having the sidewalks stone and the ground dirt  ( OR ) have both stone?

Edit:   If the ground looks better as dirt the then I'm going to need help on changing the sound of the ground when walking on it in game.

Oh and this reskin still needs a lot of work it's not even close to being done so sorry about the mix of textures in the picture I posted above.

Six did a city exterior reskin also which had dirt streets. My internet is crap right now so I didn't check to see if Kalbearn linked it above..

 

Don't worry about footstep things right now. it's actually pretty easy to change via 3d program. Again I advocate familiarizing yourself with one. There are other ways but getting to know gmax/3dsmax or blender will open more avenues to customize to your hearts content.  It's all about how deep into the rabbit hole you wish to go.

If I had someone standing over my shoulder showing me what to do everyday then I would run and jump in that rabbit hole head first.

 

That said learning how to do this stuff is like someone putting a blindfold over my eyes, taking me into a very large dark house that I have never been in before, spinning me round and round and saying now turn the light on to bedroom #3. Well that is about want it feels like to me any way. 

 

So this is why I have been taking baby steps. When I get to upset I just shut it all off and I don't tough it again for a few hours, days, weeks, or months. Well until I feel like trying to find my way though a large dark maze blindfolded.
