More on topic : I dislike the Venom. I can't like a gun that doesn't require a precise aiming, nor register headshots. Besides, it's buggy as hell, I don't trust it.

I don't think that a weapon with which one can constantly score in the 200-330k range on Gold on- and off-host qualifies as "bad" (with a bit of practice, admittedly). It's just a matter of personal preference.

No, it's very good, but my preferences aren't necessarily based on efficiency. It's the same with the Reegar, it's super effective but I don't have pleasure using it, or with the geth infiltrator, a true killing machine that isn't among my favorite characters.

Since you can charge a power up shot while running, I like to give a Venom to my Vanilla KroSent with Disruptor Ammo so he can run into Melee Range while releasing the charged Disruptor Venom, staggering the enemies and draining their shields for the Running Heavy Melee to follow.  Then cancel into Incinerate for a Tech Burst > another stagger and then another Melee, if that's even necessary.

C'mon OWA, you've seen me use it off host.

 

It's a beast gun and it does require precise aiming. You can wield that SOB like Revolver Ocelot; bouncing shots off walls and banking around corners. It's awesome and isn't bad at all off host. Hitting pyros and goons can get tricky though.

Really? I can't remember that. You guys use so many different weapons and kits and I have memory problems as it is lol. I gotta unlock this weapon and see for myself or see it the next time you use it

venom is turbo AIDS and the first weapon I'd eliminate from the game given the chance. It'd be even more hilariously broken if not for the ability of hitscans to exploit double hits.
