Was in a series of U/U/G matches with Hamletic Tortoise and Emexxia. on Jade vs Reapers. I was using the Kroldier with the Crusader & AP ammo III. Toward the end of wave 9, I finished killing a Marauder at the entrance to the lower lab and I heard the shuttle pilot say "just one more enemy." I walked out of the lab and there was the last banshee crossing the bridge across the map to the upper lab while being fired on by both Hamletic Tortoise and Emexxia. As my Kroldier clearly wasn't going to make it over there in time to get a hit in, I figured I'd see how accurate the Crusader really was and put the crosshairs on the banshee's tiny head (the only part visible above the bridge wall). I fired and the banshee died.

Crusader with no delay fix is great. The default is meh and shoots to the past in the future.

It's not kill stealing, it's kill helping there is no need to apologize 

The Crusader is a fantastic gun on kits that don't care too much about cooldowns, and it's one of my favourite shotguns; glad it served you well!

I slap it on my Kroginel.  Does good work.  We don't get fancy mods and fixes in console land, so we have to l2lead instead.

 

Aside from the Reegar I find it does more reliable than most shotguns.  Once you learn just how much damage it does you kill steal like a champ.

I use it on a Demo Grill. She doesn't care about weight and has a great on demand area stagger. And she's using a Crusader in the character select screen, so all is nice in the world and my OCD says thanks.

The innate piercing is nice, but otherwise its just a heavy Saber with less bullets, that before you consider the weird time traveling projectile.

You're obviously like young Bane... you haven't seen the light yet.

 

 

On topic, the Crusader is a good weapon. Of course, the firing delay is annoying, and its weights makes it a sub-optimal choice on many characters. However, Its high rate of fire, high dps and high precision makes it great for both crowd control and bosses killing, at any range. The good ammo capacity, innate piercing and perfect accuracy also means two free mods slots. So the Crusader gives you an unique opportunity to use the shtoguns ULM that otherwise you would never use !  So you can go with HCB and ULM on power dependant classes and keep the cooldowns around 3,5-4 seconds (ex with the human engineer : (http://kalence.drupa.../me3-builder#31!3B02585!!24N53364!EE9C3) or go HCB + omni-blade on CQC characters (ex with the krogan sentinel : http://kalence.drupa...4O53334!F39B8G)

 

The other characters I use it the most on are the AIU (for obvious reasons) and the Juggernaut. The big robot's tankyness means that I can take the time to adjust for the weird aiming mechanism without too much trouble and, combined with disruptor rounds and Siege Pulse spamming, I can both keep all the map staggered and kill bosses at a decent speed.

Ignoring all the Wraith-loving scrubbery in this thread, and to add a little to Loufi's post, one of the things I find most underrated about the Crusader is the fact that it is without any shadow of doubt the best (as in most versatile and fun) melee weapon in the game. I know the Venom can trash things faster and the Claymore has more swagger, but the Crusader has innate piercing and doesn't need the Smartchoke, so the Omniblade has a free slot just waiting for it. Kill-helping teammates across the map is just the icing on the cake.

 

It looks good. It sounds good. It does a ton of damage. If it didn't have the noodle-baking time-travel fire mechanism it would be so far beyond OP as to trivialize the game. I'm actually glad to be a console scrub as I like it fine the way it is - my most-used gun of any type in the game, by some distance. If you're reading this with a skeptical head on, slap it on a melee-specced AIU and thank me later.

How many Premium Spectre Packs have I opened now? Like, 600,000? It's literally the one and only gun I have not unlocked. Apparently it's like some kind of ultra-accurate semi-auto shotgun with a funny bug that makes it miss shots constantly. Oh, not like I would know, though.

This is a very, very accurate description.

By the way, also ran some krogan (Soldier I think) with Crusader, remember it to be fun.

I love how this game has a significant chance of NOT rewarding you for the hours of suffering at this buggy unfinished mess.

 

Yes I am extremely salty at no Venom OR Lancer.  The Krolord may become fun with a Venom. 

 

The Crusader can indeed be temperamental but that's all shotguns.  The amount of times the Clayless has ****ed me without lube is beyond contempt.

I slap the Crusader on pretty much every kit. I've got some videos of it on #straya host with panda and the fix make it bearable with the awful lag.

 

Though for some reason on my game it bugged out and the last few times I played it would have 0 piercing even with AP ammo. Eh, whatever, I haven't played in months.
