I studied such things closely during the trilogy...for science and such. It seems this manliness-beyond-all-manliness is exclusively a quarian dude thing.
Of course, recycled art assets, for budget concerns.

Good. So you might understand why people are slightly apprehensive when a character who is probably a LI looks like a racoon with chubby baby face.
She isn't ugly, and her personality might be great enough that I won't even notice her physical eccentricities, but people tend to be suspicious of Bioware at this point for a variety of reasons.
No, I really don't understand why people are apprehensive over the Asari. I guess I sort of get the suspicion people have with Bioware in that Bioware is trying to embrace different market demographics. This means that straight men won't be the focus of who they are targeting but they will still be included. For me, that's a great thing. For a straight male, well, there's all the rest of gaming.

I'm holding out for Anita Sarkeesian as an LI in Andromeda.
Considering most females like the new Asari and Most males hate her. The best option would be to make her a lesbian romance.
Well, if she happens to be a romance option, she'll be available for all genders.
I like your confidence, but saying so isn't making it reality.
The obvious enemy of the Tumblrinas is the straight male gamer, so the options were between a possibly non-sexual weird looking boring romance about as passionate as a cardboard box with Josephine (disclaimer: my personal opinion. obviously.), or Cassandra which was mostly great but received Aveline's chin for an unknown reason.
This seems only marginally less disconnected from reality than Gamesaredead's rants. Why in Hell's name would Bioware be actively plotting against straight male gamers, especially since those three words describe a significant chunk of their own staff? Also, in what way was Josephine "weird looking?"
No more suspicious than me. What happened to femShep in the trilogy with her LIs was effed up and beyond unnecessary. MaleShep had 6 LI (paramours), all babes. I think the ME team is nothing like DAI's, and you have nothing to worry about. Straight women/gay men however do have cause for worry in ME. We got slighted real bad.
By all means, I'm all for giving everyone their preferred fantasy within reason.
So? You never played a female character?
Hopefully. I was hoping for someone like Tela Vasir, but if she will end up with a likeable personality I certainly won't complain.

It is rather early for that I agree, but the lack of information added to other factors makes some people jump to conclusions.
She looks very young, and her facial reaction to that knife plus the try-hard racoon paint is probably the basis for the association.
I'm more grateful we finally HAVE facial reactions. Unreal 3 gave us very little in terms of facial movement.
No, I really don't understand why people are apprehensive over the Asari.
She's looks like an ugly kid.
It's not that difficult.

Yeah it's not like straight males make up the vast majority of the Mass Effect consumer base or anything. ![]()

Included, with their options verified and made according to dear Anita? That's not the meaning of inclusion my dear.

Oh please. Bioware is part of the EA "diversity" PR gambit, their staff is dominated rather heavily with people who can be described as "SJW".
And they have a tendency to preach their opinions, so that's really all the motivation they need.

Speaking of Anita, do you know she actually complained about Dishonored 2 allowing you the option to play as Corvo instead of just Emily? Yeah a feminist complaining about having an option to play as a male. Goes to show what she really wants.

That's why it's called FEMinism instead of say, egalitarianism. It's hardly about equality.

Most are phony-baloney's pretending to be "SJW", which is much worse. Ok maybe a few, but these few are big head-honchos I am speaking of that have made really sexist comments in the past and one is a woman who seems to take issue with straight women.

last time I checked, Anita is not working with Bioware on their projects.

If that is true, that is just sad and pathetic.

That makes zero sense. Inclusion means including content for other demographics. Typically straight males have been the target of games; Bioware is expanding their market. Marketing to other folks doesn't mean that straight males are excluded. It means they aren't the sole focus anymore. I can't be too sad over that, dude.

I must have missed the SJW meeting where it was decided that the latest evil scheme was to expand the jawline of one fictional woman at a time. Do you actually listen to yourself speak? Also, why do you think Josephine is "weird-looking?"
Considering the backlash against her from mostly heterosexual males. It would best that she doesn't take up of the 2 slots for a love interess (assuming they do like they did in Inquisition).
Asari are basically all pansexual.

If I had to guess, because this isn't a blonde haired-blue eyed big breasted white bimbo who throws herself at the player.

I'm sure you aren't sweety.

There's no need for meetings about such trivial matters when you operate like an echo chamber and hire your employees according to their political opinions. Do you work for Bioware? That might explain a thing or two.
Indeed.
The sad and pathetic bit is your attempt to spin what's primarily praise as "complaining."

What the hell are you talking about? Who has a political opinion about ****** jawlines? Also, why do you keep not answering my Josephine question?
If I had to guess, because this isn't a blonde haired-blue eyed big breasted white bimbo who throws herself at the player.
Actually it has more to do with her facial structure than anything else, but I'm sure I won't be able to convince you that I shouldn't need to apologize for my taste.

Or maybe is because of her teeth.
I don't do the romance vary often. but we did get dealt a bad hand on Cassandra they went out of there way to make her ugly she was pretty in DA2.
Really? I found her appearance in DAI to be a vast improvement over her DA2 look.
