Sometimes it feels like BioWare's a little bit peeved off, maybe rightfully so, maybe not.

This isn't a dig at either, but I'm just wondering if perhaps BioWare is annoyed with certain of their fans' attitudes. If BioWare have any ill feelings toward us, I hope they don't take it out on Ryder. It would be a clever and subtle way of doing it, taking their anger out on our avatars.

I thought it would have showed up a bit more in DAI, and yet I got even more power tripping for the player's sake. Go figure.

Which fans do you mean? Most of Bioware communities are all friendship and candies, it's just BSN which is filled with anger and xenophilia phantasies, like drunk krogan. If Biowarian feels like talking to people, he goes to twitter.

What successful media company (doesn't matter if make video games, movies, TV shows, comics, novels, music, plays, toys, or whatever else) probably doesn't get annoyed with it's fanbase at times? Hell there are even start ups that haven't produced a finished product and/or companies that have produced maybe one product get annoyed by their fans.
In the end it's how they handle the annoyances and/or criticisms by their fanbase that really matters.

After the ME3 ending? Probably devastated. These people believed in their work. They worked their asses of. They needed some time to grasp what was happening. It must have been emotional. Here's an employee talking about that time:
Go to 1:02:33 to get to the part I mentioned.
Was there anger too? Annoyed? Not BW as a whole, I guess. But these guys are human. So certainly.

I hope so. It would be cool if we were forgotten like the dwellers of one of those unopened vaults in Fallout.

Wasn't Bioware encouraging this? "We have no choice but to try for our insatiable curiosity, for our fear in what should happen if we don't." and all that stuff.
Or did they mean something else? Nah...

Both EA and Bio have access to a ton of metrics that reveal the state of their game player base. It can be simplified to three game states, for, neutral and against... in varying degrees. All of their games will have those same pigeon hole stats. Meaning that as long as the for+neutral is > than against, the studio+EA are "happy".
Peeved off? No, I don't believe Mike Laidlaw was peeved off at the completionists that went after the Shards.... but was rather surprised.

It's not so bad. Have you seen the fallout community lately? Now that's toxic.
What for? It's a helluva lot better than the last game (but not NV).

As for taking it out on the players avatar, they've done it before. To Revan, specifically. Of course, no one noticed because no one plays SWTOR, but still. Maybe Ryder will have unskippable autodialogue about how much of an idiot and a loser Shepard was.

Bioware's fans annoy me, and I have no particular investment in the company or its work. I'd be surprised if they don't hate their fans guts.

What was so bad about it? Besides the canonization? I never played (as you said
).

In some cases yes and there is nothing wrong with that. But the BioWare relationship with their fans is much worse now than being angry it is apathy and a big loss of connection with the fans.
Faceless mods who do a lousy job (ignoring topics and posters that should be censured, tossing out infractions for heinous crimes like posting images without words.)
Almost zero BioWare presence on the forums. (Community manager? Waz that?)
Giving fans little face slaps like just removing off topic with pretty well no notice.
The new strategy of giving almost zero info on games for years and then pounding a gob of info not long before release.
Many fine people work at BioWare but the company has indeed become corpritized.

for it was poorly written is the main reason. and there is no actual reason for Revan or the Jedi Exile to be in Tor.
