Why can't people who mod the lobby just set it to private?!?!

Guns that installkill typically aren't mods, they're done through the console.

"If you don't like being thrown into modded lobbies, then gtfo and host yoursef..."

The reason why I don't do this is because I have a pretty laggy connection and I actually care whether or not the game is enjoyable for my guests.

Yesterday I was searching for an UUP game and got thrown into this guy's lobby 3 consecutive times, seeing different players each time. People get thrown in, and quit as soon as they see what's going on. Then others follow and do the same.

So please, have some decency and tell your fellow players in the lobby that you've modded the game, or play with friends, or play solo.

Stick around, steal his pizza, scrub the mission, laugh at him, leave the building

Sorry, but I don't consider instakill cheats as mods.

Hence, I will continue not to warn about my lobby because modding enemy compositions and difficulty tweaks ≠ cheating.

It is designed to be fun for everyone. Those cheaters can burn in hell, but do not consider an honest modder as one of them.

Also, I would never start a game with someone having equipped Avengers with no consumables, there is obviously something fishy going on. It's your own fault for falling into such obvious traps.

If you continue having problems with this, you can fill a complaint here.

I don't play much at all these days, but if I do a quickmatch search for a plat game I'm equally annoyed whether I land in a 1 hit kill lobby or a tedious modded game that turns into a dull camping trip because the enemy hp or damage values have been adjusted or inflated. I often quickmatch using stupidshit builds and it's kind of vexing to be caught in someone's "Challenge" modded plat lobby, where this game's already sort of tedious bullet sponge enemies take even LONGER to kill, when I'm using some sillyass explosive rounds avenger hsol build.

At the same time, I often have voice chat turned off and if I'm readied up in a lobby I'm generally tabbed out to some other window while I wait for the game to start anyway, so I don't really care if people warn. In the future, though, I'm 99.9% more likely to vacate a lobby if I drop in and notice the host is someone I've played with in the past who mods unless they are the rare modder that actually DOES make adjustments to the game that are Fun and Good or otherwise entertaining.

I must admit that i liked those 1 shot 1 kill plat or god mod games when i was still maxing my manifest. I found those cheating lobbies a great equilizer for all those disconnecting games on lvl10 or 11 and bs shopping sprees when i got nothing of value. After maxing my manifest i stay clear of them, Modded games are okeyish if i play with friends, random modded games are just tedious....

Please come to my lobby once and allow me to convince you that the game can be more fun than vanilla. Enemies are not bullet sponges, as changing any of that would be deviating too much from what everybody is used to, but there are some tweaks to make it feel more in line as it should have been (example Geth have more shields than health and recharge faster). It's mostly the wave compositions and enhanced enemy/player abilities that are custom and change the dynamic of the game. In my mod every weaker weapon and class is tweaked to be as viable as possible, tough still some struggle more than others, but again were you really expecting to complete a platinum game efortless with tsol on avenger? It's a bit contradicting that you would quickmatch for a stress free game with a bad build. I hope you at least bring the consumables. We kick any low geared people anyway as they're obviously not ready for a harder mode so there's no fear about that either.

You misunderstand my point. It sounds like you put thought and effort into your mod, so it might very well be a lot of fun. I've never been in your lobby, anyway, so my criticism was not directed at you. But the "challenge" mods I have ran into out in public lobbies have made the mistake of thinking that higher enemy health pools and more enemy damage equals more challenge when in fact all it does is make the match longer and more tedious for those who aren't playing solo speedrun meta builds. It doesn't make the game harder or more interesting.

Also, I never said I wanted a "stress free experience" -- hence the reason why I tend to quickmatch with builds others consider to be garbage, and also why I don't kick other players with crappy loadouts -- or that modding can't enhance the vanilla game. Some mods are in fact quite fun in moderation, just so long as the people who make them think of interesting and creative ways to make the game more challenging that aren't simply things like "add 1000 more hp to the atlas".

The end truly has come. TTT referred to a turian build as garbage.

Shitty builds are fun.

Also pubbing is fun. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.
