But it won't stop me. I'm not exactly white or a party to most of it. I just want to point out the hypocrisy. People don't need to be attacked for their race. This is not the way "forward" or any kind of "progression". It's tribal.
Yeah, they will. It's the phenomenon of white (and now white male) guilt. If you're told to feel bad about everything (even things you didn't do) or you're called privileged just for being born, then some people appease by playing along. Especially if your opponents are aggressive or even scary, and you just want a calm atmosphere. It's habitual at this point.
It takes non-white guys, or gay guys, or something to slap these dudes across the head and start feeling better about themselves.
It's also worth noting a lot of people will throw everybody else under the bus in order to prove that they aren't like all of the others. So as straight white males are currently the popular scapegoat to blame all the world's woes on, you'll get plenty that will go out of their way to agree with the narrative to show that they're one of the good ones. It's not uncommon these days to hear certain types of people say things like "i'm embarrassed to be straight/white/male/all three" whereas 5-10 years ago you'd see nothing of the sort.

I think this is what's being missed. "White Tears" isn't making fun of all of us whites. It's making fun of the ideology that declares whites are being persecuted.

It is also funny that when bioware was commenting about this they were not talking about all white males they were talking about the 'boo hoo the gay pen!s is making me experience gay content" crowd. That is a pretty powerful pen!s that is makes you pick choices to get LGBTQ content. I must be immune to its power because i have absolutely ZERO desire to have any gay romances and somehow through out all of Bioware "minefield of gayness" in their games I magically don't get any. It is almost like if you choose not to experience the content you can actually not experience the content. But some how the big throbbing maleness just forces herto men to get their gay on. Bad pen!s. 
PLEASE. If you don't like gay content like myself just don't pick the dialogue options that lead you to the hot man on man action. Seriously it isn't rocket science. So I think Bioware is PERFECTLY justified in mocking any loser who complains about this because it is OPTIONAL. It is like some idiot complaining his supermarket has peaches for sale and he shouldn't be forced to have peaches. And everyone is looking at him thinking if you don't like the f@cking peaches don't buy the f@cking peaches. Wah wah wah but I know it is there it is ruining my grocery shopping experience just knowing peaches are there. That deserves to be mocked. People need to MAN up and stop being such #whineylittlebitch

It's ironically embracing the idea that Bioware's efforts to have diversity are oppressive to white people or whatever. Thus making fun of people who think that it is true. As a white man, I don't find it racist.

This is demonstrable, but not from the White Tears mug. The mug's talking about an attitude. And just to dispel this silly "What about a Black Tears mug" notion limping around the thread, ask yourself if a mug referencing centuries of enslavement and opression is the same thing as a mug referencing whites who think the vg industry is out to get them because they are making more games with women/gays/minorites.
If we want a real example of politically correct racism, it's black comedians dissing white people. I don't mind it really, because it's harmless and when done right very funny. But it's still accepted racism. Generally speaking, punching up is ok, and that's a sentiment that extends well beyond race, but includes race as well.

Punching up vs punching down is BS anyway. Racism is racism. It always amuses me to see the mental gymnastics people will employ to basically say "what is a sin for thee isn't for me."
Just think of it as a minor-league version of RPGCodex.
That place is just as bad as BSN when it comes to being"annoyed" at things, although for entirely difference reasons than the clientèle here. RPG codex hates on absolutely everything, and that isn't even a joke.
