Why is it funny for a white person to call out racism in situations where racism is actually being directed at them? Demonizing white men and promoting self-hatred doesn't help anyone, except for politicians who get a kick out of exploiting racial tensions.

Any time people say jokes shouldn't be allowed, I get the heebiejeebies.
That applies to the dude who came into my village and made a joke to me (probably because we're both white) about dental hygiene. It was in poor taste, and I didn't laugh... But he should be allowed to make it. And it should apply to the stupid white tears mug. Maybe it's in poor taste, but it's a joke, not the guy coming in and burning down your house because you're a white person. Humor is one of the better ways for people to deal with things. Especially uncomfortable things, like racism. Censoring comedy is bad, even if it's not funny for you. Of course, taste should be considered, and if someone's making crass, awful jokes, you might be like "This is a crass, awful person", and maybe even make a comment to the effect of "dude, no".
And yes, he's a public figure, blah blah blah. But he's a game developer, for crying out loud! He's not someone who has to carefully try to represent and please the most people, like the president.... Oh goddamnit.
I'm sure you have plenty of annoyed fans as well as those who love their games. I sure do see a lot of Bioware fans claiming they'll never touch another Bioware game after getting burned then they just end up buying it anyway which I find kinda funny. I just think Bioware fans in particular are highly vocal and passionate about their games which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Maybe that's a broad generalization but it's my own personal experience and interactions. I find it interesting that Bioware has all but abandoned these forums. Perhaps that's due to forums being archaic and social media being the prime source or something else entirely. Who knows.

I certainly am now, after this decision to just close these forums without even considering the people here. I can't honestly say I can even support Bioware as a company now after this stab in the back.
That'd be more convincing if more of the examples of racism directed at white people were real.
