What happned to the game ?? looking back at the E3 gameplay the game looks different and more real.
the combat was different , the camera was more sweet and everything we saw in the gameplays wasn't in the game..
Do you know what happend ? I don't say the game isn't awesome , I had a lot of fun playing it and of curse waiting for DA4 but I'm curious why all those features didn't end up in the game..

Likely they couldn't find a way to incorporate all those features on every platform the game was being released on while remaining within time and budget. It's nothing special, pretty much every project will have features cut (hell, DA:O had massive bits cut between early promotional material and the final release, such as the entire multiplayer mode)

He does also say they were cut because they didn't suit the flow of the game very well.
From the interview: "These items were cut based 'a little bit [on the last-gen] platforms, a little bit about the flow of the gameplay,' Laidlaw adds. 'We didn't want to build a military campaign simulator and have one zone riddled with that but others that don't have keeps be different - we wanted a consistency across the game.'"

Nothing looked better, except maybe the overall movement that wasn't as clunky
Camera settings can be replicated by modding

I had gotten the Xbox One before DAI's release so I was good to go. For people that didn't have the money for a new system, I think it was nice of EA/Bioware to keep the older generation in the loop even at a cost.
Some people say EA/Bioware released it for just sales, but overall.. I believe the sales versus cost ratio wasn't very wide so they didn't just do it for sales, I actually believe the company sought out its fanbase that played it's two prior games on those systems.
Now, it's time to cut the ties for the older generation. It didn't become cost effective late in the DLC cycle to include the older generation so the business had to make an executive decision. I appreciate what they tried to do but it became apparent that the business practice was hurting their revenue. From our side, it was unfair but I understand why it was decided that way.

Consoles dumb down the game's true potential. A PC can handle a lot more than what a console can. This isn't PC snobbery just fact. A PC can have far more memory, processor power and high graphic cards than what a console offers.

That's for sure. I believe they developed a fanbase on the consoles as well with DAO and I believe it was a good decision to release it on consoles.Consoles dumb down the game's true potential. If they pushed the system requirements too high, gaming consoles wouldn't have a place in the race and only High end gaming PCs would reap the benefits. It would have negatively impacted sales but it would have been a beautiful game. My PC would have not performed well. Lol.

I barely got by playing the game at max settings. Last November I upgraded my PC with a new graphics card and 16GB of memory in anticipation of Fallout 4's release. Now I play F4 and DAI at max settings without an issue, other than it makes my system run hot. Thankfully I have good case fans.

I know this is an off the wall question but I got to ask you.
Since upgrading your PC, how do you think it compares to videos on FO4/DAI on current generation consoles?
I was wondering since you have firsthand experience with max settings on PC. I've actually thought about building a gaming PC this winter but I have been putting it off due to cost versus benefits.
If it is that great of difference, it gives me an incentive.
