One thing that I always enjoyed is when we can see our squadmates show their particular skills in action. Things like the end mission of ME2 in which we picked every squadmate for a particular task according to their skills. Samara/Jack creating the biotic shield to protect the team. Or Thane (with a terminal disease, mind you) kicking Kay "shiet" Leng's ass in ME3 was great too.

I'd love to see more of this in ME:A. I'd also like to see more involvement for the crew that is sitting on the ship while we do all the job on foot.

Now, I know that Garrus was always calibrating something, but what about the rest of the squaddies/crew? scratching their a**es until we pick them for a mission?

It'd be cool to have them giving support to the player in some manner. Snipers hiding and providing cover fire, engineers hacking stuff, I don't know. It just feels odd to have 10 squadmates on the ship yawning and scratching their heads while the player plus 2 others take care of business down below.

I'd like side missions for each squadmate that show off their personality and skills, rather than the suicide mission assignments. Each squadmate being able to take the lead for a mission to showcase them in an in-depth way would be ideal for me. The loyalty missions in ME2 made the squadmates too passive in their own affairs IMO.

I agree.

Scenes where your squadmates do cool things and get the job done is a must. I'm not a big fan of  the fact that is always the protagonist the one who takes the shot, the one who does that thing, etc.

Would be awesome to see the squadmates being relevant in the course of the cutscenes.

I thought you meant in the ship, cause I thought it was a step in the right direction in ME3 in terms of idleness.

On missions for sure. I still wonder what that mission was in ME2 when they ALL took the shuttle. At some point I thought the squadmate gameplay didn't reflect the story (i.e. everyone comes with you story-wise, but giving 2 squadmates gives you more control and fluid gameplay) but that is not the case. So they should definitely do sth about that.

Something like they did in the Citadel DLC with Team Mako and Team Hammerhead would be fun for some missions; i.e. where your remaining squad are in other groups on the battlefield and you could at least see them advancing alongside your immediate squad and engage in some banter over the radio.
