Did you ever have one of those days playing ME3 multiplayer, where nothing goes right? I mean, you're in soft cover firing on  say, a Geth Rocket Tropper, for example, and you have just emptied 50 rounds of ammo into it head and other body parts; and, just as you are reloading your weapon he shoots you once and you go down for the count? :(

Have you ever been right in the middle of a fire fight and suddenly the sound goes out: So, you end up finishing the mission in total silence, because you don't want to abandon your team? Then, restarting the game isn't enough, even after restarting your PC.  So, you decide to repair the game, but that entails uninstalling MEHEM....the Happy Ending Mod and restarting your computer; followed by initiating the repair. Then you follow that up with reinstalling MEHEM; followed even further by opening up the "bioInput.ini" file to change the position of the consolekey along with the typekey, to F11 and F12 respectively. Because if you don't they will popup in multiplayer if you accidentally hit the "Tilde or the TAB key."

In the past three days I have had to do just that--three days in a row!?!

I have had those other days too with this game. I may very well be because of my cheap GeForce GTX 750 1GB video card or the on-board sound on my piece of crap Dell XPS 2700 computer. I do know that the video card cannot handle a lot of really intense---fast and furious--gaming, such as with ME3 multiplayer. However, it can handle Fallout 4 with over 50 mods installed in the game, along with my other heavily modded games. It can also handle Tera and  Vindictus. So, I don't know what the actual problem is.

Yea, I think it is best that i just to take a break from it for awhile. Play something else. I have been thinking of replaying ME 1 (twice through) followed by ME2 (twice though) and then ME3 again. I have never played as an Adept all the way through--from first to last. Have always played as a soldier.

So, it is better to host, because I an in the States? I generally don't host because I am not that good. And I am slightly unorthodox in my play style. What I mean is, is that I have a tendency to go toe-to-toe with some of the bosses; (with my beloved Asari Valkyrie Sent). It's like taking one for the team. I do die and I do die a lot, sometimes. Then again, I spent my entire 69 years marching to my own drummer--to the chagrin of many.  It is what it is and I am what I am.

It's better for yourself to host. Most problems in online games are related to latency, and when you host, your own latency is the baseline. So even people with poor internet service can get a better experience by hosting. All the other players are going to have it worse, though. A poor host basically saddles the other players with those problems instead, and if your ability to send to and receive from them is bad enough, they may lose connection to you or never connect with you in the first place. Your geographical location really only matters if the other players trying to connect to you are far away. The farther away a player lives, say in England, the worse you are going to make it for him. There are some countries that restrict internet access, so hosting from one of those countries would be nightmarish, but that's a whole other discussion entirely.

Of course, all of this means that whether you should host is determined entirely on the quality of your connection. If you have excellent internet connectivity, you should host. Your skill level within the game is completely irrelevant. Er well, I mean, there are some twats who might make the argument that if you host and suck, you are taking something away from better players who actually could have used a host advantage (see vanguards), but if they were that worried about it, they would have just hosted in the first place. And for that matter, your connection still isn't everything. You can have excellent latency, but if one of the other players' own internet connection is crap, he's still going to lag.

Well, I am out here in the Pacific Northwest (in Oregon) where the only real game in town is Comcast Xfinity. Also, I am close to their D-Slam, paying for 105 Gbps (Gigabits per second) and getting on average of 124.5 Gbps. So, whether that's good or bad I don't know. My best friend is the Network Technician, not me.

Is the first thing a failed over-cover grab problem? Be patient and eventually that rocket troller will fall through the floor and die.
