Have you played Dragon Age Inquisition?  I think the elves are gonna be just fine. ;)

You've got a point tho.

Don't forget 'lost their homeland because of a war they started'.

Well, how many ways do you have to tell people, "Stop coming here and preaching your religion at us. What part of 'elven homeland, with elven gods' don't you understand?" before you get to sack a town to make them understand?

You never should get the right to do that. Disagree all you want sure, but slaughtering innocents because of people proselytizing is never okay.

Rightly or wrongly, the elves of the Dales wanted to be left completely alone and to not interact with, or be interfered with by, humans. The Chantry disregarded the elves' wishes. Eventually, when you tell someone enough times to leave you alone and they don't listen... well, I don't blame the elves for resorting to more drastic measures.

Both sides started it. It was never one-sided.

The elves don't have the hips to pull it off.

Wtf are you even talking about.  There was no slaughter of innocents because of proselytizing. Red Crossing was a massive misunderstanding where the defenders and the knights clashed.

No. Y'know what, get outta my thread. Its mine. Go away. Mine mine mine.

The person I was replying to was asking how many times do you have to say no to the religion before you have to kill a village to get your point across. I was addressing that, not saying that was what happened.

Both sides started it. It was never one-sided.

Both sides did things that led up to it. The actual war however was started by the Dales when they invaded Orlais.

A lot of things went into it. But, really, what it comes down to is that the elves meant it when they said they didn't want any part of the humans' world, and the humans harbored suspicions against them for that. The tragedy at Red Crossing would have been chalked up to one of history's misunderstandings, had the Chantry not been chomping at the bit to force the Chant of Light on all corners of the world.

So we'll discover the elves created the qunari as a slave race. The qunari rebelled and killed most of the elves.

And a bit later on a race of giant super qunari created by a glowing Sandal will show up and kill everyone to stop people from creating more qunari.

Can't wait!
