Haven't been on this forum since mass effect 3 released, I'm a little turned around... And the new layout SERIOUSLY isn't doing it for me right now... anyways, I was hoping people could bring me up to speed on a few things:

a). what do we know about andromeda?

b. any news on 2&3 making it to reverse compatibility on XBOX?

c). are people still pissed about the mass effect 3 ending?

P.S. is fat boy priestly still running the show on here?

A] Nothing really specific, other than a few things like the protagonist's name. Bioware is keeping things close to the vest right now, saying they'll reveal more this Fall.

B] No news, though since Microsoft solved the multidisc issue and ME2 and ME3 are some of the most requested, it should only be a matter of time. Some speculate that they may be announced closer to MEA's release, maybe even be part of a bundle like other game companies have done.

C] There are still...discussions about the ending, though nowhere near as much as when you left.

And no, he hasn't worked here in years now.

Answers.

1. Nothing.

2. No, idea.

3. Yes, but they're only half serious about it now.

Asari eyebrows and hair however are passionately debated topics. (I wish some of this post was a joke.)

@ZipZap2000 Yeah... the eyebrow thing. Totally unsurprising... Beats having to listen to a bunch of people argue over which LI is the hottest though lmao. (I really hope they don't do that anymore)

1. Only what we know now since E3

2. I don't play consoles

3. I crack open a bottle of fine vintage on the Anniversary of Hudson leaving Bioware if that tells you anything.

Haha dude, I remember when they got locked the first time!!! It was all the friggin tali fanboys. And then all that ended up happening was people just posting the same crap in other forum topics.... (yes, fat boy priestly at his brightest... may he eat in peace)

The more I emotionally detach from the trilogy from not having thought of or played it in a year or more the more I know I'm just generally apathetic towards it and especially ME3. ME1 and 2 are good games, that's never gonna change in my mind but the whole thing was soured by how much negative rep it got after the fiasco of ME3's ending and for me ME3 just in general. It's not completely bad but the overall impression matters the most and mine is a bad one.

But based on how good Mass Effect is whenever it's good, I'm definitely looking forward to Andromeda. It's a chance for a fresh start and an entry to the series where you don't have massive expectations beforehand because there are no hanging plot-threads that need to be shown and resolved; it's all new stuff here, so it's hard to be too demanding as a fan. I'm skeptical because of what I've thought about Bioware lately of course, but overall I feel like I'm just going to receive ME:A with open arms and enjoy it for what it is. Then I'll always join in on the ranting and ******-talk in here afterwards as usual because I will always find some grievances in every game and inevitably people are gonna be pissed about something and then I realize some of the criticisms are right and we end up picking out all the things that sucked in the end and start to think the entire game sucks ass :P

@Linkenski: yeah, I know what you mean... But in all honesty the original trilogy will always have a place in my heart. Objectively speaking, I'd say it outclassed the other games of its time.  But as far as Andromeda goes, I really don't know... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I'm more skeptical of EA than Bioware, the direction the industry has been going in as a whole is what concerns me the most.

Many sequels now a days follow the pattern of a] streamline game to all audiences, make it more "casual". b] dumb down rpg mechanics. c] over charge costumers for every individual piece of dlc. d] should sales permit, rinse and repeat...

Yeah, that's what will ****** me off of it happens lol

We've progressed into just wanting to bang anything and everything, including inanimate objects.

There was even an inanimate carbon rod LI thread at one point.

That was a great 24 hours.

I never heard about that, do you know why? I don't think I ever visited the ME character section back then.

People have been requesting inanimate objects since I started lurking the 1st month of ME2
